T61 1/18/41 Here is the current situation on the Smolensk front. Army Group Center is pulling back and now may find it difficult to form a new line. Instead of sending resources to other fronts maybe it would be wise for the Red Army to send all new forces to this front and try to make Minsk before the end of the winter offensive.

T65 2/1/42 Lastly here is the Mogilev Front. The Germans are moving to another line but it is unknown where they will make a stand. There are still many winter offensive turns left so maybe Minsk will be within reach before the mud.

T67 2/8/42 Here is a closer view. Note the German units trying to rail to the front, (circled in blue),to prevent what has already happened. They would be surprised to see the front broken to this extent. In the space view, if you look closer further south you will see more breakthroughs forming. The goal is Minsk by the mud turns.

T68 2/11/42 This view shows the area north of the road from Smolensk to Minsk. The German is holding better here so I might have to take Minsk from the west by driving around to its rear.

T68 2/11/42 Here is a German Bulge offensive further south trying to force me to send troops there instead of advancing. The local troops will have to handle it. However, if he sends more troops it could be a problem so I will watch it.

T71 2/22/42 In the central front is is like Bagration. His line has been destroyed. As shown, the lead Soviet tank unit is only 8 hexes from Minsk. However, in the north and south the Axis is either pulling back or can pull back.

T72 2/25/42 Minsk is now only 4 hexes from the nearest Soviet tank unit. Should the Axis fight and try to hold Minsk?

T72 2/25/42 This shows the far south front. Will the Axis troops be able to retreat in time to avoid the envelopment just to the north of their line?

T73 3/1/42 The Minsk front shows how the Germans declared Minsk an open city. The Russian tank units drove through the city center and kept going, now 4 hexes west of Minsk.
