VL

Multi-turn process but I continue to knock down level 3 forts in this area. I won't occupy the clear hexes until I have sufficient Inf Corps in the area. Next turn I have my eyes on the LW units in the Southern part of the map as I move "IN FORCE" into this area. I hope this catches Q-Ball off guard at a minimum. Time will tell as this is the first turn of redeployment of units to this sector after the free up of that rail line. I build a depot to the NE of VL. Once the single track line comes online I will build a depot to the SE and put NKPS on both of these depots if all goes well in a couple of turns.

You can see the Western Front units inbound on the trains(already on Assualt status). Cross your fingers I can get the build up done. Going to be a rough ride in this terrain but that "double edge" sword cuts both ways. Buckle up here we go!

Stalingrad

No attacks in or out of my defense. A few candy bar deliveries were made to Stalingrad but there is a price to pay of course.

Hmmmmmm, I dont have to fight at all to secure the rail. Very nice early Xmas present for sure. I will "take" it! Rail secure and now ALL Western Front forces will be heading to VL area (ones not frozen that is).

Rest of the fronts are pretty static and not going to be shown for OPSEC.

VL Area

Again here is the situation at the beginning of this turn. I do have my eyes on those LW regiments. We all know regiments LOVE to retreat(route if LW). So see if I can pick some more LVL 3 forts down this turn and force something. Here we GO!

Stalingrad

I continue to guard the perimeter & attack low defense value Germans in the Stalingrad pocket forcing them to stacks of 3. Looks like next turn the slot machine will start paying out with German Surrenders as the Germans are running out of places to retreat to.

Germans retreating in good order here. Not much I can do about it with what I have here. I will just continue to add more land back to the Soviet Union.

I occupy the Xmas gift and complete the rail conversion to get this rail up and working next turn. Looks good here.

You can also see some Western Front units hoofing it to the VL area. My dual track line is already at capacity so will take these units 2 more turns to get to the front :(

I am slowly sliding Reserve Front further and further west.

I then exploit the opening and take the nice defensive terrain with my Mech Corps broken down. The Germans want the terrain back they will have to attack which is "A" OK by me ;-)

VL at end of turn. Another Depot is made and I don't want to convert VL hex itself to rail yet either. More Western Front units are on trains here and even more behind that are on the rail waiting to come in. The wheel is in motion now and hard to back out now. I see my next move already for next turn and will see what Q-Ball puts in that area.


I also expand the airbases to level 3 in this area since we will be here awhile for sure.(means it was started)
