Just finished one of the most enjoyable (read bloody) games ever! Assigned to defend against a river assault by the Germans (Im playing the Russki's in the WWII Campaign) I completeley slaughtered the poor b******s. I stayed concealed untill the majority were half way across the river in their pontoons, and then let loose with everything I had on the riverbank (2 Company's of Marine Infantry, 30+ HMG, 30+ AT Guns). Within the space of no more than 3 turns I had slaughtered about 1000 German Infantry (that should teach them for violating the motherland ;) )...Amazingly, they kept coming on despite countless 'Morale Broken' messages, and the damn fanatics fought on untill turn 35! Final Score: Soviet Union: 6673 Decisive Victory Germany: 834 Crushing Defeat Losses: Soviet Union - Germany Men: 32 - 1424 ! Artillery: 0 - 0 S.Vehicles: 0 - 76 APC : 0 - 0 AFV : 0 - 4 Lesson Learnt: Next time STAVKA asks you to pop across a river to get at the Fascist bogeyman...Go on sick leave! :D [ July 12, 2001: Message edited by: Gen. Sick leave is not an option Comrade, and Stalin says you do not need any smoke. But if you gott'em smoke 'em. STAVKA :D

Funny thing is, if the Germans had used smoke I would have been hard pressed to stop them...Fortunatly they seemed to be content to simply bombard my positions, hence most of my 32 casualties. Long live moronic AI! :D
