This one is a bastard. I can't seem to find a way to not lose the advance ships to Supersonic ASCM. I'm also not sure how I can hope to deal with that S-300 Site without ARMs.

I can sink some Pakistani ships with Brahmos missiles, but I just take a pummeling from those YJ-12s and F-16s.

Any advice here?

In my case, the trick was not to advance. Your own Brahmos are already within range, so there is no need to present yourself as a target. Form up into a tighter air-defence formation, and take some shots at the exposed enemy ships as you fall back a bit to wait for the carrier to catch up. Maybe have a shot at the docks with your land-attack Brahmos too. Make a determined effort to shoot down enemy MPA before they can spot you. Then, when you're invisibly hidden in the ocean, engage at your convenience as the enemy ships present themselves.

The SA-20 is definitely a pain, but not a show stopper. You've got 200 mile radars on your MPA, and the SA-20's only got a 110 mile range, so it can't stop you from spotting ships. It's a TVM system, so it needs LOS to engage, which means you can evade it at long and medium range simply by diving to min altitude and getting below the radar horizon. Your objective is to kill ships, not SAMs, so you really don't need to tackle it at all. If you really feel you have to engage it, you've got some land attack Brahmos, and the Harpoon IIs have GPS-based land attack capability. (A swarm of Harpoons acting as cover for the land-attack Brahmos is a great way to hit the docks, incidentally.)

Thanks for the advice, I'll give it a try. Will send Flankers and Fulcrums after those MPAs.

UPDATE: Things are going much better. I actually got very lucky with a land attack Brahmos salvo, which destroyed 3 submarines and 3 Patrol boats at their docks.

Final Update: Well I was about as triumphant as I could be. Got a score of well over 750, with only losing one Flanker and one Fulcrum.

However, I ended up forcing a scenario end in an embarrassing way, but also really not my fault.

One of the escorts of my Carrier force detects a submarine ahead of it. Clearly a sub as the first detected speed was around 20 knots. And this sub is VERY close to my carriers, as in very close to, if not already, within torpedo range.

Well two of my ships fire off ASW torpedoes, and sink the sub. Turns out it was USS Vermont. Oops. To be fair though, It was very dangerous for that sub to approach a naval task force engaged in full combat operations.

That mistake knocked my score down to 275 with a Major Victory.

Despite the major scoring penalty, given the situation, I believe I made the right call.

Thanks for the tips!

First I consolidated the foward frigates with the carrier group. As you say there is not reason to risk appraoching Karachi with the S-300 and ASCM.

Didn't know Harpoons were land attack, I used a Harpoon armed MPA to kill the western land radars, then Su-30s to appraoch from the west and kill the Pakistani MPAs as they came out. After that Pakistan is pretty much blind unless you go near Karachi.

The Pakistani airstrike launched but were unable to find my ships without any surface search sensors so just went home again.

My nearest sub got close enough to ID a Pakistani ship so I could fire Brahmos and sink. The nearby SKUNKs that evaded during my missile attack revealed themselves as enemy combatants allowing me to mark them as hostile. All downhill after that.

Best tip for Flaming Seas - do go near Karachi.

It's only the new Harpoon IIs that have this capability. Earlier Harpoon Is are anti-ship only.

I am very curious about the Indian Perdix drones. What are they for exactly? It says anti-air but how? Seems odd.
