I've been moving units for a while now and when I was moving the currently selected one a Soviet aircraft popped into view. I don't want to disturb it, I want to do an airfield strike on it to see if I can make it evaporate. THEN I can finish moving my unit.

Here's what's going on down south. I've been moving units for quite a while now and it's 16:39 tucson time and I'm only just now getting to the units in the south to move next. I started at the top of the OOB and moved everybody in order, more or less, and finally now I'm getting to the units in the south to move. I guess you had to be there to feel it. This is a monster of a game.

At any rate I've been listening to the wrong kind of music again and instead of listening to the sound of crickets or some kind of space music, you know, something soothing. Rather than that I've been listening to AC/DC and Led Zepplan and The Eagles, and The Who, etc. And it's pumped me up so that I'm more prone to take a risk, less likely to do something smartly considered, more likely to be utilizing out-of-the-box ideas to make decisions, etc. Something like what a 60's stoner would come up with. Wait, this is 2021 now so it's an idea that would likely come from a stoner in his 70's and can no longer give a F 1_I C K what other people think of my opinions. Every 20 minutes all day long keeps the PTSD away. It's medical, I insist.

So what happened to get me into this frame of mind you ask. It seems that before I could stop myself I ordered one of my finest motorized engineer units to zoom south in an effort to cut off all the Soviet units from their supply source, a separate unit to move north to close the gap on a subsequent later move. I thought it was worth a try and besides I captured two separate Soviet airfields on the trip south. Soviet units were scarse, else I wouldn't have gotten as far south as I got.

The Armoured Engineer unit of which I speak doesn't have a very large contingent of supporting equipment but what it does have is better than I was expecting. It's got 6 Flammenwerfer's for crying outloud. You don't see those everyday. I'll keep you posted on how the engineer unit fares.

I took a look at the files you uploaded in both the editor and the game. Spare equipment as you described didn't appear. All I did was open the scenario in the editor, saved the equipment files and then save the scenario. No problems encountered. Probably has something to do with the air quality in Az.

Regards

I took a look at them myself to convince myself that I wasn't just seeing things that other people don't see, you know, and you're absolutely correct. So I'm going to declare a false start and start over again. It's 17:57 tucson time right now so I'm going to go until about 03:30 and then take a nap. And then up again about 06:30 or so, get a fresh cup of day-old coffee and hit it again. I'd really like to get these moves done for Ken. He's waiting on these moves you see.

I feel like a member of this squad.

Hey Ken:
I had to restart a second time yesterday in the late afternoon and it's 09:25 now the next day ( Thursday 7/15/2021 ) and I find myself on the second combat
round
already. To make a long story short I'm going to need another full day to finish my moves I estimate. I'm having more fun than is legally
allowed and I'm almost through with my first cup of coffee for the day. I can hardly wait to see your first turn moves.

I don't know where you get the energy to move so many pieces so many times. I'm exhausted just reading about it.

There's only 1800 Axis units and not all of them move. Some of them are CD guns and garrisons that are designed not to move ( yellow bar on the bottom ) so it's
really not all that difficult, only time consuming. I'm having a grand time with this scenario. I hope Ken has at least as much fun with this game.

Here's what it's looking like down toward the south. This is the beginning of the second combat round of turn 1.

so um.....hey you guys: I just had a CTD just now. Fortunately, I had saved my game only about 30 minutes before so not all was lost.

Hey Ken:
You'll be glad to know that I'm on the third combat round already. I've been moving units all day long. I had a CTD and had to recreate about 1/2 hour of work.
No big deal. It's 17:41 here right now and I estimate that I'll have some moves ready for you in about two more hours. Or so.

I think my first turn losses were remarkably light for what I accomplished and how many Soviet units were destroyed.

I flew quite a few airfield strikes and now several of my aircraft are tired and need to rearm and soak up some supply
before they will be as good as new. I managed to get an HQ unit to Konigsburg to encourage the aircraft near it and it
looks like a few more HQ units are needed for the other aircraft stacks in this area. I'll see what I can do about that next
turn. There are so many aircraft resting that I don't have any INT or CS missions posted. 99% of the fighters are still online
and I forgot to set them to INT and so they are still still set to AS.

Here's what the supply situation is in the north right now. As you can see I have moved my units into areas where my
supply lines haven't reached yet. I'm assuming my supply will eventually get into the areas I recently captured.

In the middle I tried to cut off all the Soviet units still undamaged so that I can destroy them in T2 but I've left a
lot of gaps and I expect them to make a heroic effort to escape from the trap.

In the south I made some progress but didn't get much of a blocking force in behind the Soviet units that remained after
all my attacks so I'm expecting a lot of them to be able to get away from my advance before I can trap them.

I took a look under the hood at my Stuka's and found to my horror that none of them had a particularly good anti-ship
value. In other games I've seen values as high as 120 or so. It's too late to change it now but I'm not going to make
much headway agaist the Soviet SCTF's. This might be a problem.

Note that the Inventory and Replacement screen can be sorted by clicking on the column headings. I sometimes sort by units “Assigned” which puts the equipment you use the most at the top. For a scenario like FITE sorting on “Lost” tends to get depressing after a few million causalities!

Regards

Hey thanks a heap Steve. That comes in real handy when you want to know which items aren't building any longer or when you'd like to know what you've lost the most of. In the image I sorted the highest losses to the top and it's the infantry still. No surprise there. But sorting on the "Assigned" column is helpful too.
