Turn 2 Beginning of Turn (Real Turn Update)

Well, looks like I have another aggressive Soviet on my hands from the looks of units attacking out.

two of those attacks account for 29 of the total 41 tanks lost during the Soviet turn :(

2nd attack and 11 more tanks :( All pockets hold and pretty much no visible Soviets in front of me.

Attacks in the Center. All pockets hold & should be able to eliminate, as normal, this turn. Soviets looked to have moved the top pocket as far away from Infantry as they can. Can still get rid of it like I normally do. I just have to use some Moto to do so.

Bombing!!!

There was no Soviet bombing. The quiet before the storm I am sure. Was some air transport which was intercepted by my Fighters with out drop tanks.

Turn 2 Beginning of Turn

All updated to 1.01.10.

I built 1 depot turn 1 and one depot only in Brest. The new depot filled up nicely. I estimate I will be 4 depots this turn, maybe five.

North's Depots filled up pretty nicely too. Going to try a bit of a different strategy on my Depots this game. Here is 1 of 2 of those depots.

South had a similar build up of supplies with this picture and the other depots on single track.

Turn 2 Beginning of Turn

I will be using 5 RAD units in the south to repair the rail to the oil circled in Green. I will have rail to it by turn 6 & by that time should have the damage repaired on the OIL factory to a decent level. Those 5 RAD units will stay in the south interconnecting more rail for more redundancy to the main dual track line. The other 2 RAD units will be used up north to repair the North. Once the 2 RAD units from Norway come they will be used in the north too if necessary otherwise they are going to the South.

Turn 2

Lvov Level 2 Railyard (plus any other level 2 railyards that didn't get auto repair units)

I will be assigning construction workers to fix this level 2 railyard since I was not lucky enough to get one here :( Probably ran off from the battle in this hex, lol.

Turn 2

Ground phase

I have already talked about this in my other AAR & during BETA. I am just providing a picture of Air & leader deaths so far turn 2 and I have only done North and part of center so far. 3 KIA's.

Turn 2

Ground Phase

I have now set all on MAP TOE to 50% for all units except for HQ's, Airfields, Engineers, FBDs, and Construction Workers. I will be micro-managing TOE of units myself instead of Auto filling up in this game and my game with Jubjub.

I am finishing up my moves in this game now and will have the turn over to Guctony later tonight. (Work & selling house is killing me :( After that I will begin on T12 of my Jubjub game which I only quickly looked at. Turn 12 over there is going to get real interesting with lots of real time commentary. Unless of course you want a 5 turn delay on the commentary ;-P

The game is on "Hold" at a minimum at the moment, "Terminal" at the most until at least the next couple of patches come out. Too many items are having an impact in patch .09 & .10 in the AIR to continue. Up to my opponent if they are willing to wait or get another game, I don't care either way.

Just for reference is this thread https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=5085899 why I came to putting this game on hold and maybe even terminal hold.

Yo,
Sorry Mister H for sending my findings so late but the best would be the north Plan , sent all Panzergroups north,
Take Riga and then stop going north and just advance East until you reach Tula , then go south until you hit Stalino.
Use reserve formations and Army group north to hold the line while everyone else starts going south.

You will have created the biggest Pocket ever , saved yourself from the endless steps of Kiev and streamlined the
Entire supply line from the port of riga to the town Tula in a straight line, you also will threaten Moscow and later on Stalingrad , while also
Driving south with your elite Panzers ,avoid the harsh winter of 41.

If you make good progress the Black Sea can be reached at Rostov by the start of October.

Thank you for much for this. I have something in the works similar to what you posted above which is very good. I started this strategy in this game with Bobo here https://www.matrixgames.com/forums/tm.asp?m=4988004&mpage=11&key= but Bobo had real life to take care of. I hope Bobo is doing well since I have not seen him post in awhile.

After some thought on this game I will continue with current ruleset. My other game with Jubjub has to wait for the air fix since I am at a turn that I need full use my Air force. I truly think the Jubjub game is going to be a really good long term game. Jubjub is a very tough opponent.

Now in this game I feel we can squeak out 6-7 more turns before I will 100% want the use of my Air force fully.

Turn 2 End of Turn

North

I continue my advance toward Tallinn capturing Parnu this turn. Gotta have those two oil hexes near Leningrad.

Turn 2 End of Turn (NOT a real turn update)

North

Clean out all the pockets and stay semi close to my supply. This game will be even more tempered than my Jubjub game on taking territory. If a can't supply it within a certain amount of hexes then I am not advancing unless I feel it absolutely necessary to take without supply being close. In my game with Jubjub for awhile I had units way too advance eating up trucks.

You can see 1 of my 4 German FBD's heading North towards Riga.

You can also see that I already have interlocking ZOC's to prevent any Soviet incursion into and behind my lines already. The Soviets either have to make retreat the regiment or have enough MP's to get through the ZOC's. How you set up your ZOC's matter too. Many times I see them not set up correctly in peoples games :(
