Wow this is a monster. How do some of you keep track with which base you have been to check on or what task groups you have looked at? Is there a way to jump to the next numbered task group IE 1000 to 1001 without reopening the active task group lists? and what order on the base screens when you hit the arrow for next base does it go to is it by base number in the editor or what?

I have this incredible memory, so I never miss anything and never hit any unit twice. I can also create the Japanese opening move in ten minutes, and have some waterfront property in Sonora for sale, if you're interested...

I will say that this game will probalby make us all much better at remembering geography, and as we become more familiar with the game we will be less likely to forget important decisions. I hope!

I started making this list indexed with the command HQs . Wrote down which bases were important with airgroups, TFs etc. But I soon gave up. If I miss something 1 turn, I hopefully will see the next.

Good one Bane.

I do it by areas/commands. As Japan, I check production, resources, and supplies first, then go into major operations.

I divide the map into sections and do each one at a time. Some places - like Manchuria - doesn't need touched after the first few turns - you set it all up on the first couple turns and let it run itself. China is almost the same.. Once you set it up, all you need to do is keep an eye on your front line as it moves forward.

Turn 1 is the most important for me... I reorganize everything into a few main bases. From then I work clockwise, starting with the US or Japan depending which side I’m playing.

Easy actually, after years of PTO & PTO 2 and PacWar, you begin to see geographical locations and units in your dreams

Despite sounding a little silly, this isn't far off... You section off areas in your mind in terms of what you're out to accomplish and go to them one at a time. You're bound to miss a detail or two from turn to turn, but you deal with it. More often then not, the computer takes care of things. Then you just go back the next turn and catch up. Once you have your overall strategies down, you won't worry about the minor details...

Just the depth and deprevation of your dreams about WiTP! LMAO!!!

that even in the real thing, the saying is that there is always some silly SOB that doesn't get the word. Just write it off to the Radiomen. That's what most of the officers I knew thought. So we told them "The message didn't get through cause the winds were blowing the antenna off frequency." Hey, it worked on a rookie supply LTjg.
