scotswahay, the confirmation email you receive should have the S/N. Mine did at any rate. Hope they're good for BiN...

If you didn't get a serial number, please send me a copy of the e-mail you received to erikr@matrixgames.com. It would also be helpful to see an example from an early orderer who did get a serial number. Thank you.

Regards,

- Erik

Historical anecdote to keep us amused in the meantime:

Well, a "folk etymology" anyway.. The term pre-dates Mr Patterson by at least a century, and predictably enough relates to fireams. A cartridge is empty when "fired", as is a desk when it's occupant has been told his services are no longer required.

I can't believe that bloody VAT fault is still there..

Thank you, I now have enough examples of both. We're getting this fixed immediately as well. You really would not believe what's going on behind the scenes, but suffice it to say that we've already "fired" our account representative and are dealing directly with the representative's "big boss".

Regards,

- Erik

From the orders that were sent to me, those of you that got serial numbers have valid serial numbers that will work for Battles in Normandy. Those that didn't will get new ones as soon as this is sorted out. We are still aiming for 5PM, notwithstanding this astounding performance by DR.

Regards,

- Erik

The question is that when are those who are in charge of those that got sacked being sacked. And we will still need someone to sack the ones that sacked the ones that were in charge of the people that already got sacked.

I remember going on a management training course a while back and they said we should "celebrate our failures" because we learn so much from them, or some such ... all this talk of firing ??
