But Mr. Frag, War in the Pacific has no supported Windowed mode, and no resolution settings. Would you call that also a waste of money? Sorry, it just seems funny that one game like that is ok, but another one becomes a waste of money. You must know that for the hardcore Matrix-fanatics (like Mr. Frag), everything is a waste of money which isnt made with hexes and published by Matrixgames. In fact, every counter "argument" so far brought up so far by the "haters" could be applied 1:1 to WITP. In fact, WITP is an even worse program, it is still unstable and its AI and gameplay sucks big time. Dont get me wrong, I am a big fan of GG, mostly because of his old titles, but your constant bashing of HOI2 makes you look like a fool. So I wish you all a nice time with your "supergame" and conquering USSR as Japan, laughable land combat routines, crashing sound and the 1000 other issues which will never be fixed. And now excuse me, I have to play War in Russia. a) WitP *does* have a windowed mode. b) WitP has a different font selection shortly. (as the users have requested it) c) WitP has a colourblind setting shortly. (as the users have requested it) Lets stick to the FACTS. I'd be playing HOI2 if it didn't give me instant headaches looking it it on my monitor. Funny how people get so emotional about stating FACTS. I'm not saying HOI2 isn't the best thing since sliced bread, I am saying that the developers choice to hardcode a resolution such as they did is stupid and results in closing off a large portion of the market. People who have LCD monitors need to be made aware of this as generally there is no ability to return software once opened. Just for the record, I am not saying WiTP is bad. I am just saying it does not have a "supported" windowed mode (It has one, but I've heard its not supported) and it, on shipping, has no font select, no resolution settings, etc etc. Personally, I love WiTP and Hoi (don't have 2 yet, Im saving up for SCS-Dangerous Waters and SH3 myself).
