AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 02/06/42 The assault on Java is gearing up, day 4 of the BB bombardment of batavia gave another 350 cassualties, resulting in total of 3500 in 4 days. TF's keep unloading in Merak and in 3 -4 days I should be at full combat strenght. In China things are gearing up, brigada send virtually all chinese corpses out onto the railroad, 2 hotspots can be identified 1 is my attempt to surround and crush Wuchow 2 is brigada's attempt to break out of the encirceled area (should be able to contain him, and finish off the tied down chinese corpses after capturing Wuchow in 2-3 weeks time. Also not that my forces are nearing kuchang in the north/west. Brigada should only have some weak and tired units there (rec says 15000 men 80 guns). After taking kuchang and those 2 other northern city's in a further 3 weeks time this area of china will have been pacified........ -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Naval bombardment of Batavia, at 19,59 Allied aircraft no flights Allied aircraft losses Brewster 339D: 1 destroyed Hurricane II: 2 destroyed, 2 damaged Japanese Ships DD Tachikaze DD Yukaze DD Yakaze DD Shiokaze DD Sawakaze DD Amagiri DD Yugiri DD Sagiri DD Asagiri DD Ayanami DD Shikinami CA Kumano CA Suzuya CA Mikuma CA Mogami CA Chokai CA Atago CA Takao BB Hyuga BB Yamashiro BB Fuso BB Mutsu BB Nagato BB Haruna BB Kongo Allied ground losses: 352 casualties reported Guns lost 5 Vehicles lost 1 Airbase hits 6 Runway hits 56
