What is a daitai?

Are the Yamato class battleships useful at all & can you command them individually?

Can you organize your fleets anyway you want?

Do you have control of both Army & Navy?

I do not yet have the game but am interested in picking it up.

A Datai is a Japanese squadron, bit vague someone ill give you somthing more specific.

Yamato is one of the best Battleships in the game, of course its useful for flattening some airfields and bases, and soaking a few bombs that would otherwise fall on a Carrier.

Yes you can do your fleet however you want

Yes, you have control of the entire navy and Army of your selected side.

Hi the main tactical unit of the JAAF was the Koku Daitai (air battalion), consisting of two Chutai (squadron) of nine aircraft each plus three a/c of the reserve and three a/c of the Daitai HQ, making a total of 27 machines. On May 5, 1925, the size of the basic unit was increased and its name changed to Hiko Rentai (air regiment). It now comprised two, three or, usually, four Chutai grouped into two Daitai. IN 1938 the IJAAF change the name to Sentai however the IJNAF retained the Daitai title. So in WITP you have IJA in Sentai and Navy in Daitai. The Navy also retained the 3x9ac sizes.
The Sentai are normally 36 AC now. (However there are many Sentai still with the older 27 ac size)

I read somebody posting that you can limit the size of these squadrons or something about fatigue with a safe number of 15-20?

It seems like things can get pretty tedious is it possible with human vs human to win with Japan?

IF anyone could provide a good battle screenshot I'd appreciate it.

Yes it is, its hard but there are a few routes the Japanese can take to win.

Check our the AAR forum for battle screenshots.
