Very quiet turn.

Japan is problably preparing for their next move. The question is: where?

I am really curious to see Nikademus next move. I am not sure he knows already if/when/where to hit next .
Personally, when i play Japan in PBEM, this is the point where the starting phase ends and where next plans are still to be made.

I have 2 places where i expect him to invade. or he can also fall back and prepare for defence.

Its amazingly common for grognards like us

"Oh I can't pronounce the name of that island so lets invade it and rename it into something I can pronounce".....I swear that's what happened to Goodenough Island.....

Another quiet turn. Allied Bombers keep pounding Japanese bases in Burma.

Has Japan decided for go on defensive? they surely have their defence perimeter already, included all Guinea. let's see in next 3 weeks what will happen.
Time is against Japan. So if Nik is up to something, he surely won't wait 2 months.

Another quiet turn.

The bombing over Darwin are preparing an invasion?

where is the KB?

what will Japan do in the Pacific?

why am i asking all these questions?

maybe cause there is nothing to report?

or cause i have done the turns for all my PBEM and now don't know what to do?

will i ever stop asking?

So what is the ASW count in this game? Are the USN subs getting the crap beaten out of them due to the IJN boats getting their durability quadrupled and the Allies nada?

Havn't you been reading?

from page 7:

Four month ASW review.

Total number of ASW attacks/successful attacks (Hits) Dec41 - Mar 42

Japanese ASW vs Allied sub

79/13 ( 4 in shallow/port, 9 in deep water)

Allied ASW vs Japanese sub

51/7 (all 7 deep water)

*sightings/attacks + counterattacks where at least 1 escort was present to retaliate after sub attacked target. Hits do not automatically imply a sunken sub.

Iboats sunk = 4

Allied boats reported sunk (by depth charge) = 7

And that was different to the Dutch/ US/ British/ French/ Chinese warlords....?

OK, the Western powers had generally finished their raping/ pillaging by 1930's, but only by a generation or so (Dutch bloody conquest of Bali was 1908)

Hi Nik...thanks for the update. So, your "fix" seems to be working for the Japanese boats. I believe the same is needed for the Allied boats given the loss of seven in just four months, all to DCs. Again, the problem I see is that the model, however it is supposed to work, clearly gives the surface forces too great an advantage over the sub.

As your fix basically quadruples the durability of the sub, throwing the Japanese production costs and universal VPs way out of whack, does this not clearly indicate an earlier gross over estimation of ASW capability? As such, can we finally get a few changes to the model (or at least compensate for the VP and production values)?

Thanks again for the update...

Ron
