Jan 4th 1942- General Hata S. looked at the landscape that had become his home for almost a month now. The sieged city of Hong Kong. Every time he reported to his supirors that Hong Kong should fall soon another week would go by without their lines breaking. Today his men where rested enough to attack yet again , however he held slim hope as their moral was wavering. Moments into his contemplation a figure walked up beside him. "Sir , L General Nakano reporting as ordered from Canton.". Hata looked over to him , "And how many troops did you manage to pull from the Canton defence?". A slight smile crossed Nakano's face , "Sir the chinese pulled out of Canton days ago after repeated bombardments from the IJN." He let the silence linger for a moment to get the most effect possible (always a good idea when bringing good news to a supiror to make sure the impact is full). After a satisfying 10 seconds of time to let the anticipation build in the Generals eyes he continued "So I brought the entire 51st Division sir". General Hata's eyes lit up and smile crossed his face. Excellent , today will be a good day , an excellent day. As they drew up the plans for what would be the last day Hong Kong remained in british hands...
