Are pilots with kills removed from the list if they become a casualty? I had several pilots with 3 kills. Now only two show up.

They should show as KIA/WIA/MIA.

Can you have friendly fire with ground attacks?

Been reading a book about Burma and that seems to have happened quite often

"They should show as KIA/WIA/MIA."

That is what I expected, like in UV, but they don't.

This was obviously meant to be in the blue on blue thread

Nope. I don't recall seeing any KIA/MIA/WIA in any of my WITP pbem games. I'm patched to 1.60.

Well then, logically, they should all still be there. Otherwise, nothing makes any sense anymore! Seriously, if you say there's only two where there should be three, then I have no explanation.

I know the AVG had three pilots with 3 kills. I had one or two more from other squadrons. They were all based at Singapore. They were lost one day in a large dog fight with some CV Zeros.

I just checked the AI none of it's pilots that have kills show up as MIA/KIA/WIA. But they may be to good to get shot down.

I'll check my next pbem game to see if I have a problem.

Hi,

pilots with 5 or more kills (=aces) remain on list with fate wia/mia/kia

Pilots with 4 or less kills are removed from top pilots list.

WiTP should have it's own little history channel show announcing these ships that sink for "unknown" reason

Actually, most of the "unknowns" are ships scuttled in captured harbours.

Thanks! I suspected as much. If this is in the rule can you direct me to the page? My search did not turn up anything (or I just didn't see it).

I haven't seen KIA/WIA/MIA listing for pilots (like in UV) since I started playing the game 10 months ago.

Doesn't actually say so anywhere in the manual. It was found out through experience.
