Gentlemen:
On May 28th a Japanese Task force of minelayers, destroyers and one troop trasport was reported steaming SE from the tip of the Solomon island chain.
Earlier the Japanese carrier fleet was seen leaving the Coral Sea area, with the presumed destination of Truk for refueling.
Unknown to the Japanese, USS Enterprise had previously left Sidney, having completed its repairs and also upgrading its systems, had relocated to Noumea.
Yesterday, the Enterprise task force, led by admiral Spruance mad a high speed run, and intercepted the enemy task force. Operating outside of air cover, the enemy ships did not stand a chance. The enemy transport however was not seen. It might have been miss-identified.

May 30th 42
Harassing air attacks continue on the Japanese 8th Tank regiment, on the trail south of Akyab. Also the japanese continue their landings and attacks on PM. It is doubtful that any reinforcements can get through.
The Enterprise carrier task force is now withdrawing after their successful interception of the Japanese task force near Espiritu Santo
Lombok has been taken by the enemy

Enemy forces land and attack Luganville in force. The allied defenders, one of the Australian Coys a base force, a fraction of the 3rd USA Infantry division, as well as marine paratroopers resist heroically. Assistance is ready to go but, the enemy has strong surface forces in place, and KB lurking nearby.
Submarine attack on KB yields conflicting results. The commander reports all torpedoes missing, but radio intercepts seem to show at least one large carrier hit.

Good grief, now you actually have to work at work? What's the world coming to?

What are the VP totals, sunk ships etc? Enjoy reading about carnage.
