Andy evacuating Yunan and moving troops to Chungking - but, i've repulsed them and it seems that Yunan will be another big POW camp.

More good news from Paukashawa san too... in night raids 4 enemy AK sunk, 6 PTs, two enemy DDs heavily damaged, one moderate damage - without significant damage to our DD raiders groups!

More details latter...

AK Admiral Wood finally sinks in the PM port and that makes 5 AKs sunk this turn...

Now i wish that my CA TF bombarded the Port Moresby as it was planned, but i didn't want to risk my irreplaceble cruisers. I had a chance to strike enemy in the day phase too with air force - Andy didn't moved ac yet and all his remaining bombers were on naval search so one of my DD TF wasn't attacked (this TF was only two hexes away from PM).

So, the truth is i had a chance to hit him hard, but at the same time we must be objective and aware that we could lost a DD TF and lots of ac in case that Andy moved Corsairs in PM.
(i've noticed one VMF air group upgraded to Corsairs so he must be busy with upgrading ac to Corsairs).

Ok, perhaps i have enough time to send IJA AF to PM just once more but i'm not going to risk with that. Andy got spanked in the skies above PNG last few times but i'm sure that he is planing revenge. Even if he is short in supply and air support (due to my air strikes in the past) if he move 50 Corsairs there i'm screwed. And, we must not forget our victories were costly and we can not affort to lose another 50 acs (64th ftr Sentai is reduced to 10 pilots!).

What to do now? My DDs need to repelnish and i cant assign more ships to raiders duty - KB is already desperate low on the escorts and Andy still has app 25 PTs disbanded in the port. So it is easy for him to replace sunken PT boats.

Checked experience gained and quite a lot DDs gained 1 night exp point: Takanami 66/72, Isokaze 65/70, Kuroshio 74/74, Nagatsuki 74/78, Kisaragi 70/68, Hibiki 65/75, Shigure 65/73 and Samidari 69/69. True heros were DD Inazuma which gained 4 night exp points 71/73 and Oite with 8 exp points - 70/83!

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 03/31/43

PNG

Sometimes i feels like idiot - Andy withdraw all ac from the PM and i was free to bomb PM port and finish damaged DDs there, and score some hits on PTs and two AKs...well, who could know that? i ordered two less experienced IJA AF bomber groups to attack PM tomorrow - don't want to be faced with 40+ Corsairs (yesterday they were on CAP over Townsville) tomorrow with my fighters on escort duty.

Andy relased hordes of subs in PNG waters... lots of engagements and this turn is more than
clear warning what i can expect from the enemy subs in the future.

Ok, it could be even worse... now, Paukashawa-san ordered his personal to increase ASW effort. app 15 aux ships (PC/PG) and 10 DDs will form several ASW TFs and try to broke this subs offensive - CVE Kaiyo entered into service and already sailing towards Truk - i'm ready to assign this ship to ASW effort too. We need to discourage Andy ASAP and stop this cowardly () tactic...

CHINA

Yunan and Chungking bombed. My forces runing to Yunan and one hex towards Chungking - i wan't to deblocade my trapped units ASAP.

The reason for another succesfull hit is quite a big exp for some of this aux ships. To be honest, this hit was only minor one but hopefully it will sent this sub to the bottom of the sea.

I may be one of the greatest idiots on the world but i have to try it - ordered sweep on PM tomorrow. Yes, yes i know that almost 50 Corsairs were on CAP today.... my reasoning is following - 12 Corsairs are damaged and shouldn't be repaired by tomorrow so 12 less beasts to fight tomorrow. Recon says that 110 enemy fighters are at PM and if this is true that means almost all enemy fighers were in the air today - so they should be fatigued (app 13-16). My crew is quite rested (app 5) and in 1:1 ratio we could have an edge...

I was suprised how many enemy fighers were damaged from the only 25 bombers (10 of them are veterans with 75 exp)... so...

One green Tojo group is on escort and app 60 bombers will try attack PM tomorrow so we could caught some planes on the ground (if weather allows them)... So, lets see what we can do...

Hi Pauksan.

How do you set up your resource convoys? Escorts, routes, defence of these routes?

Andy should start the sub offensive against these convoys soon!

hi, Kapten...

I have no need to escort my convoys at all at the moment. Being sailor on the japanese merchant ship is most pleasing and most safe duty today in the mighty Empire. Don't think that Andy will start unlimited sub war on my convoys in SRA - it is quite far away from his frontier bases and Andy already have experience with PzB and ASW. But you are right, I'm sure he will try to do something there and imperial Pauk family already have plans for this threat (never thought that i could learn something from the Speedy's AAR). We are organising 3-4 crack Army bomber groups (90+ exp!) for ASW duty. When/if his subs start attacking my ships i will organise big, well protected convoys with less experienced aux ships, and these big convoys will have additional protection - at least 2 high experienced or well equiped ASW TFs (Pc/PG with 55+ exp, DDs and APDs).

I would say we are ready to teach him a lesson if start to copycating (?) Germans .

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 04/02/43

PNG

Well, i'm not one of the biggest idiots on the worls but i can't say that i'm a clever guy
neither. Andy had more fighers than i thought there and victory goes to him. I lost 90 planes A2A combat, 20 of them were Army bombers and 20 recruits flying in Tojos so all in all i lost 50 figther veterans. But this is simply too big price for shoting down 64 enemy planes and destroying only 5 ac on the ground. Ok,lesson learned and form now i really need to restrain from the offensive air missions. It could be worse, i could learn this in air battle with 400 planes involved so i would say we took the risk, not the gamble (there is nice signature one of our members which quoted Erwin Rommel's words about difference between the risk and the gamble)....

Allied radar is one of big advantage, that's for sure!

5 x Ki-21 Sally bombing at 6000 feet
2 x Ki-21 Sally bombing at 6000 feet
3 x Ki-21 Sally bombing at 6000 feet

It is time to dig in and try to hold against enemy hordes as long as we can. I think there is no point to keep airforce at Lae anymore - all i've got is two veteran (75+) Tojo sentais and two veteran Jack daitais. I hope that AFB will read this and will realise that even with advanced training system Japan can't hold against mediocre (but in masses) Allied AF - ok, i've delayed Andy a month perhaps, but look at the airgroups which are down to just couple of pilots and needs reforming and training for several months!

70th Ftr Sentai

68th Ftr Sentai

64th (Praetorian) Ftr Sentai - only one pilot survived!

87th Sentai

26th Ftr Sentai (already started training - currently at 58 exp)

F1 Tainan Daitai

So, 230 veteran/crack pilots gone forever....

Sometimes, you need to disavow unpleasent defeats and claim that everything goest according to plan: Andy sent me email, "it is bad,bad day for Tojos:)"

and i've replied to him:

"bah, i will tell you a secret... almost half of them were recruits in the 40s - i've tried super-advanced training program to see what would happend - the truth is none of them survived and my experiment failed but it is not big deal for me.... lets see how many corsairs you can throw into air battle for PM - i've already scrapped a full month of production:):)"

Well played Pauk!
Interesting game, I could see that 'rebuff' in the air coming...
When you get drawn into such a firefight one usually continues to feed the fire until there is no more firewood left.
Believe me, it's a bit dangerous - been there several times

Think this is a first for you; now you have to rebuild your fighter wings and prepare for the next round - the enemy onslaught.
This will come as soon as the KB leaves the area. Can you provide a strong naval bomber force and long range expendable fighters?
Should be possible to hurt the enemy and then surge back with the KB.

Good work in China Should keep the wolves at bay for a while!

I just download The Operational Art of War III and will have a go at the Eastern Front again. Kinda missing it, too bad they
put the new Eastern Front on hold

Yes, it is dangerous - too dangerous for my taste. From now i would order my brave IJ AF to go over the top only if: a) we can seriously hurt enemy fleet b) enemy approach bases we can not affort to loose (yet). I still have a cuning plans for them

This is a PDU game and it requires slightly different apporach than "tradicional" game. There is no point to send fighters in hordes over the enemy bases when enemy can mass Corsairs, just to delay him a week or two... I'm aware that Andy didn't even start to use his 4E bombers and i need decent fighter force to protect my bases and inflict him a serious losses. That means we have to evacuate Lae and Siador eventually (leaking CAP) - outside of Corsair range.

Yes, i still have few long range figher groups for escort duty (plus 4-5 airgroups on my CVEs), and yes, that is the plan for the upcoming months.

Oh, Operational War is a great game, but i'm not going to buy it - to much money for "refreshed" game. It is pity that WIE is on hold, just imagine team game PzB & pauk wersus evil commies! (we would drove the enemy all way to Vladivostok - i'm afraid that this is the only way to help Japanese with their struggle against Allies)

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 04/03/43

PNG

It is time to withdraw with KB - i don't have big hope that we can intercept enemy fleet 11 hexes west of Lunga (i guess this is a protected convoy for Ndini or just decoy fleet) but they are on KB route anyway so why not to try it.

Shark is not seriously damaged, but it is nice to see hits on covardly enemy...

We lost air superiority over PNG and from now we are defending our bases. It may look ugly our 18 planes lost in A2A while enemy lost 15, but 16 of them were night fighers. They aren't perfect fighters for daily duty but they claimed 6 kills and only 8 pilots are killed in action. F4 Toko daitai (Jack) lost 2 pilots and awarded with 2 kills while F1 Yamada daitai shot down 9 enemy planes without losing a single pilot (i counted there enemy planes on naval search too).

Had a conversation with Andy and he told me he was very satisfied with outcome of our airbattle over the PM, "i lost 400 planes but you lost 300 high skilled pilots, and that's the price i'm ready to pay". Also, he stated (and he is right) i don't believe you will be back....

My estimation is that IJ AF lost app 200 veteran/crack pilots (some of our losses were recruits and some of them survives - wounded in action). But there is no reason to cheer about it - 200 pilots is still too much and we have to re-organise our Air force.

15-20 airgroups are veteran/crack ones. About 15 airgroups are reforming or training (30-60 exp range). We also have strategic reserve (app 200 veteran pilots (70-75) in Home islands) and this reserve will be activated only in desperate situtations.

Overall i can be pleased with my Air force, we shot down 1.500 planes more then we lost and more than 1.600 enemy ac are destroyed on the ground. Our ac losses on ground were light.

We also lost 133 ac monthly due to ops and i would say that is a moderate rate.. As for ground losses they exceeding 1.000 VP but we are still maintaining 13:1 ratio in our favor.

Supply situation improving slowly but steady - 3.078.000. Oil is not a problem - about 2.1 million are stockpiled. Resources aren't problem neither, we have about 2 million.

War industry runing smoothly - our engine reserves (Nakajima and Mitsubishi) are near 12.000 engines, so all we have to do is delay enemy and keep him outside the SRA and HI while minimizing our, and maximizing enemy casaulties - simple, eh?

STRATEGIC SITUATION IN PNG/SOLOMONS

We are entering in second phase of the battle for PNG. We expect that enemy will start air offensive soon - no latter than two weeks. While we are still to strong to be steamrolled, Paukashawa san is aware that days of pride and glory are over. Japan still have two (of three) strongpoints at First defensive line: Gili-Gili and Lunga and will try to hold it as long as it possible. Meanwhile we are preparing 2nd and 3rd defensive line in PNG - Admirality islands, Wewak and Holandia. Emirau Island will be expanded too. Also, Buin, Torokina, Kaveing will recive garnisons and air support in next two weeks, while most of the air support will be evacuated from the Lae.

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 04/04/43

Another eventfull turn but Japanese didn't achive decisive success, although we can be pleased with this turn.

PNG/SOLOMONS

Enemy CVL Independence spoted just outside the escort range Zeros from Lunga. Our naval bombers spoted target of opportunity and hit enemy with couple of torps. KB will refuel tomorrow but don't think that Andy will make stupid mistake and allow me to sink enemy CVL and transports. Anyway, we have to try and i sent CVE TF towards Rabaul, outside the B-24 normal range. It would be nice that this TF is spoted and fools Andy....

Unfortunatly it seems that none of these ships arent in danger, but they are damaged and fuel lost at least.

Our heroic ASW TF continues with chasing the enemy in dangerous Coral sea waters - just in front enemy nose. Nothing spectacular, but few sys damage points is better than nothing. It is time to withdraw our ships - big bunch of B-24 failed to locate them, and two small strikes missed our ASW ships.

Nice trick Jumper. That could explain why i didn't caught many fighers on ground at PM in the past. However, i solved this problem moving main unit to Admirality base and damaged fragment (0 ready, 7 damaged ac) was able to move to Siador?!). Don't ask me how but i did it:) - then, damaged planes were loaded on AK and moved to Admirality island.

I can be really pleased with IJA AF performance - we lost only one Tojo in the action while enemy lost 7 heavies. And, great general Pauk is pleased with his older brother dr.Paukozumi - C. Notomi, the pilot who allows to be shoted down is wounded and rescued (95 exp!)...

PNG

I would lie if i would say that i didn't expect much from the this turn. First, two turns ago my two remaining minelaying subs lay down mines and i was more than sure that damaged ships from the yesterday action will hit them.. but nada... nothing... zero...nista....

But still had a hope - he will send fighers on ground mission over Buna and will teach him lesson - but fighers didn't attack Buna....

Finally, another strike on GG - there is nothing i can do about it - perhaps he planing another invasion? Nah, it is too early, me thinks...

Situation is not so brilliant there. I can't allow myself such extravagant moves as LR CAP over Buna and hoping for good hunt. Enemy coming in big numbers, following with fighters on ground attacks and some fighters are on LR CAP or they are escorting fighters on ground attack. I'm thinking about evacuating Buna: i can't defend this base with 15 IJA squads anyway. The truth is i won't stop enemy training but they will have to fly to more distant targets (GG).... Although I have good kill ratio in China i'm using more ac than Andy. The reason for that is big ops losses (10) and bombers shot down in PM area. While i can live with ops losses i do not like free training for enemy fighter pilots but i need naval search in this area...

Other than that, usual air strikes against Chungking and Chinese army east of crossroads. PNG and Pacific are quiet... too quiet...

The good news that my divisions finally reached Yunan and we are going to test Chinese defence there - i have 1679 assault points there, but doubt that enemy is capable for decent defence... Once we capture Yunan, no other bases than Chungking and Chengtu will be in Chinese hands...

with rice - Chinese rice and japanese sake! Seriously, this screenshot was taken during bombardment phase of the ground combat when assault value doubles - 13th division is first class division with 447 IJA squad and same "normal" assault value. Rest units (which) didn't start bombard yet still have "normal" AV....

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 04/16/43

CHINA

When great general Pauk-san choosed name for major offensive in the China he didn't think that this name is very symbolic - Konichiwa for big Japanese offensives in this war. From now our 10.000 years living Empire will be on defensive - until the end of the war...

Enemy units didn't surrender - they choose "correcting the frontline" withdrawing to Chungking, one hex east from Yunan. Actually this is excellent news for me - we can use these units as targets for our training program! The idea is to use recruits (20-40 exp) for that mission and hoping that enemy will try ambushing our fighters - all we have to do is to well judge the moment when we must move experienced crew and ambush the ambushers. Even if we fail, the loss of 50 recruits is sustainable...

Ground combat at Yunan

Japanese Deliberate attack

Attacking force 107717 troops, 949 guns, 30 vehicles, Assault Value = 2740

Defending force 27101 troops, 0 guns, 3 vehicles, Assault Value = 467

Japanese engineers reduce fortifications to 4

Japanese max assault: 1947 - adjusted assault: 1333

Allied max defense: 406 - adjusted defense: 77

Japanese assault odds: 17 to 1 (fort level 4)

Japanese forces CAPTURE Yunan base !!!

Allied aircraft
no flights

Allied aircraft losses
Spitfire Vb: 2 destroyed

Japanese ground losses:
776 casualties reported - i lost 2 victory points for ground losses
Guns lost 8

Allied ground losses:
1852 casualties reported - gained 82 VP for ground losses

One thing is for sure these units are three months out of the action before they can reach Myitkina (in best scenario for the Andy) - and then six months is required to bring these units at combat shape - at least... China is now pacified!

One thing is bothering me - enemy unit arrives on Kweiyang-Kunming road where i have unit too. So this hex is AJ controled - can supply reach Kunming?

Ground combat at 40,34

Japanese Shock attack

Attacking force 7214 troops, 84 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 152

Defending force 6299 troops, 0 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 230

Japanese max assault: 280 - adjusted assault: 124

Allied max defense: 136 - adjusted defense: 7

Japanese assault odds: 17 to 1

Japanese ground losses:
414 casualties reported
Guns lost 4

Allied ground losses:
8 casualties reported

BURMA

Will try ambush enemy acs tomorrow.

PNG

Lots of Corsairs sent on sweep to Lae. Fortunatly they were unable to locate target and i withdraw my two Tojo senais to Siador - but i'm afraid of leaking CAP when Corsairs arrives again. Should i gave up from having ac at Siador too?

IMPERIAL HQ NEWS SHEET

Amagi arrives and will replace Soryu in PNG. In couple of days Unryu arrives to and will replace Hiryu (they are going for 2/43 upgrade). Akagi and Kaga (upgraded) will do the same.

Damn, i was afraid of it! Yes, i can be satisfied with overall situation in China - but i don't pretend I done the great job there. Actually, Andy did poor job in Chin (he said more than once that he detest China) and i took advantage of this. Yes, i think Allies could do a better job too....

BURMA

Bad weathere prevents strikes on Mandalay and my 17 Tonies on LR CAP do nothing there - time to fly to Raehang and Rangoon again. 44 P-38G's spoted on CAP over Myitkyina - Andy is certainly planing somehting with them. Escort for new Burma air campaign or escorts/sweeps on my AFs (Kweiyang/Kunming) in China to interupt my training program? Let's see if IJA AF can achive another victory and demoralise enemy again....

IMPERIAL HQ NEWS SHEET

A big reorgainisation of Combined fleet is already mentioned. Our Army is being reorgainised too, after the finishing Konichiwa-go.

31th division (reinforcement for BAA which arrives in Shangai) was sent on China theatre and after just two weeks our heroic soldiers becomes veterans -31st division have 87 exp now, from starting 60 exp. This unit will be sent on Burma road and latter to Lashio-Mandalay where it belongs. Meanwhile will wait for Yunan "refugees" if they choose to withdraw towards China or Allied bases in Burma this way...

I have three more divisons to re-deploy in other theatres:

10th division is assigned to 4th Fleet, 116th division to South East fleet and 69th division to SAA (first two divisions are A divisions with 447 inf squads) while 69th division is B division with 303 inf squads). But all three divisions are crack and will help our defence in Pacific: 69th division will be divided and defend bases in PNG (Wevak, Aitape....). 10th division will be divided too and guard Marians while 166th division will guard Truk.

reorganisation of our army in China

Do you recall Chiba brothers? Well finally had spare time to look for them: our ace Funaki Chiba (59th Sentai) isn't in Japan anymore - they moved to Maloelap and waiting for the enemy. Unfortunalty, lost the track of his younger brother Bonsai Chiba and we have to assume he is KIA. Anyway, there is three more Chiba guys in IJA AF strategic reserve at the Home islands - obivionsly we are talking to nepotism here!

Good job in China Pauk!
Andy will not like it... The war will step up in intensity over the next 6 months, but your position is good
Do you know when Andy will get his first P51 long range fighter units? I'm not looking forward to that day.

Yes, with capturing Yunan and Kunming i've secured one flank in Burma and i would agree with you that my position is good - the enemy still did not posses PNG, Solomons and Marshalls, northern Australia is in my hands too. But, to be honest i dont have illusions i can stop Allies - my only hope is that "Mother of all cuning plans" will work. This plans will be named after Japanese princess Kiko - we all think she deserves it

I will not disclose details of Kiko-go there because it is too early for that. Besides, lot depends on circumstances and future happenings in the game... but, imperial Pauk's family is united for once and all of us believe that Kiko-go is our only chance to delay enemy...

Just checked for P-51 - B variant comes in march 44, while D variant arrives in september of the 44....

BURMA

Interesting stuff there - noticed several enemy units marching towards Mandalay and 3 more enemy units are in the mountains near Lashio. I don't have clue what he trying to do with them. My plan is simple - two divisions will reinforce Mandalay in right moment but i'm not sure 100 % this is the main enemy offensive - my eyes will be wide open on other theatres as well..... Of course i have quite a lot troops for guarding Rangoon, Moulmein and Tavoy....

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 04/19/43

PNG

Nice strike from Siador on ships returning from Port Moresby. They didn't have any chance against my crack LBA. Admiral Halstead is reported sunk and same will happens with Tendedos - DD was hit once again from Helens on naval search (and it was damaged even before this attack)

Day Air attack on TF at 52,93

Japanese aircraft
G4M1 Betty x 7

No Japanese losses

Allied Ships
AK Admiral Halstead, Torpedo hits 3, on fire, heavy damage
DD Tenedos, Torpedo hits 1, on fire, heavy damage

Aircraft Attacking:
3 x G4M1 Betty launching torpedoes at 200 feet
4 x G4M1 Betty launching torpedoes at 200 feet

I don't like what i see - but i have live with that... fortunatly Andy reciving only 20 P-47C per month..

Day Air attack on Lae , at 54,87

Allied aircraft
F-5A Lightning x 1
P-47C Thunderbolt x 9

No Allied losses

But this are not the biggest news today - lots of Wildcats and quite a lot Seafires are on CAP duty over Townsville - this means enemy carriers are in the port unless this is not a some kind of nasty trick! But don't thinks so...We can't ignore a reports of amphibious ships in the port too - makes it perfectly logical that Andy is planing offensive in PNG.

Don't forget "offensive" in Burma which is, i believe only divertion... countermeasures already taken. Currently i have 5 CV, 4 CVL and 5 CVE in Truk. Kaga arrives tomorrow at Truk, while Amagi will arrive in a week - this could be too late. Anyway, one more CVE is near Buin and this 6 escort carriers can replace one or two fleet carriers. KB will be formed and sortied in several TFs, i even upgraded Shokaku fighters to Zekes and dive bombers to Judy's - if Andy really tries to break through our defence in PNF we will be ready for him. Fast BB TF is at Rabaul.

The question where he will going? GG is well defended - 5th division + coastal gun regiment so if i could choose his target i would choose GG - not that this base is only well defended - the geography is my friend there and KB would be in better position to intercept and fight the enemy. Buna, Goodenough islands have very weak garnisons and there is no sense to reinforce them - enemy LBA would destroy these troops.

I believe that he would go either to Buna or Goodenough islands, under the cover of Corsairs and Liberators. In that scenario his carriers would provide only secondary cover and engage KB if his long range fighters and B-24D decimate KB CAP. So, our only choice is to engage enemy while his TFs are E, SE of GG. That is our plan, hopefully we will have enough time to get in the position...

I need Zeros for my CVE's. Currently have 3 trained daitais at Rabaul, two crack daitais at Lunga and Truk. I already moved one veteran group (74 exp) from training camp in PI and two from China. One more airgroup is ready to be transfered from China - quite a lot groups but there will be not to many daitais available for escort our LBA bombers.

CHINA

Attack on partisans which blocading Kunming-Kweiyang road.

Ground combat at 40,34

Japanese Deliberate attack

Attacking force 6653 troops, 72 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 127

Defending force 6195 troops, 0 guns, 0 vehicles, Assault Value = 226

Japanese max assault: 121 - adjusted assault: 132

Allied max defense: 124 - adjusted defense: 7

Japanese assault odds: 18 to 1

Allied ground losses:
78 casualties reported

The secret about "tourists" in mountain near Lashio is cleared. Andy told me these units moved for some unknown reason to this hex - bug? and he asked me to redo last two turns. I really hate to redoing my turns, but i accept to do it since the bug canceled, as he believed, suprise attack on Mandalay. So we are going back to 18th April and replayed this turn - of course things were different this turn. PM was closed and no sweep strike on empty Lae... oh, well...

Ok, redos are over - as i expected there was no attack on enemy ships sailing from PM and AK and DD Tendos survived... phew!

AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR 04/20/43

PNG

Enemy activity increasing from turn to turn. Few submarines spoted near Solomons and reported moving NE, NW - obiviously they are looking for KB. Paukashawa-san smells something in the air and maximum alert ordered!

ASW attack at 66,90

Japanese Ships
PG Saiko Maru
PC Matsuwa
PC Sado
PC Oki
PC Etoforu
DD Asagao
DD Asakaze
DD Minazuki
DD Natsugumo

Allied Ships
SS Seawolf, hits 11

New patrol boat types rocks! Not crucial hits but this 11 hits should put Seawolf out of the action for a while.

Kido Butai is ready to sails again - 4 carrier divisions formed and sailing to Green island. Amagi and one CVE will reach Truk in couple of days and will reinforce our mobile striking force. Quite a lot subs are sent on Townsville- GG route and hopefully will found enemy fleet on time. Lots of navy planes in the Solomons are set on naval search - i done everything i could, me thinks.

In Burma, i'm quite confident my reinforcements will arrive on time to Mandalay but the question is how will my troops stand against enemy heavies - sending also smaller units to attract enemy bombers attention. Andy told me that he thinks he can took Mandalay (when i told him he can't do that and i've seen his units on march to Mandalay) - either my recon sucks either he really thinks that this offensive would fooled me and distract from PNG...well, a interesting days are in front of us.....
