Emperor is very pleased today
Our brave troops captured Batavia offering base to our Air force and Navy
Dutch command was so confident about defense valour of fortress that did not withdraw air units
70 was destoyed on airfield
no ship was sunk during operation however many are damaged or heavily damaged
kuala lumpur should fall in 1-2 days - clearing of Malaya proceeds
Manila kept under pressure

Tsk, tsk. Raver's probably still got an offensive mind-set from his game with Luskan. Think delay and withdrawal!

I promised Raver sth special when he looked at opponent and we are strongly in favour of bloody fight. Things are exciting so everybody should apreciate
BTW My second PBEM - allies played delay/ withdrawal - very similar result at this stage. Usually nobody bother in withdrawing Dutch units. nly bombardment run vs Rangoon was slightly over aggressive by now. I would counterattack at PM too

At least I made him bleed a little for Batavia. In China I am also extracting a heavy toll. I made a decison when Sneer first offered tom play this PBEM to fight for every last inch of land and sea, unlike in my other game where I have fallen back to protect my units. Sneer is playing hard and fast as if he has his own private clock (rather than historic) that he is racing to beat and this is causing him large casulties to his LCUs, something that does not seem to bother him at this point, take the latest attack in Yenen, it has cost him some 2700 of his men. These type of losses do not seem to phase him, maybe he thinks that he has plenty of time later to rebuild these units before the allies go on the offensive?

1.Most of losses are disruption one - I lost less then 100 VP in army troops - it is more or less 6000 soldiers - not too high price for result
2.second there must be a break in offensive - of course - then troops will rest- yes I think i have plenty of time - I'm buying this time with blood now
3.My industry builds much more armament and tanks then at beginning of war - Japan made this mistake in history that they concentrate solely on air and naval part of armed forces
4.I cut Burma road fast - rebuilding Chinase troops and building forts consume a lot of supply- let them starve
5.I don't care the shape of china expeditionary army if chinase troops will be under my boot.

I have few strategic objectives in china and they will be taken

BTW Batavia fights were not as hard- only 2 days of shooting
both divisions are in good shape - almost no hard losses and about 15% of soft strenght will be regeined soon - all losses of Btavia operation was close to 1.5k - usually 20% are killed and rest disrupted

Yes China might starve for a year, but getting supply to them even with the roads cut is a simple matter of flying it in over the hump. I think that you might find China to be a bit of a pain in the neck come 1943.

one problem off my head
troops will reorganize soon
on average 10% of assault value is in disable squads so a week time and they will be in top readiness - need to think about next strategic movement
China , Russia , India ,OZ , or Paciic or combination of 2 of them
we don't care about autovictory so there is strong need taking right choice as I should have enough points but strategic position is much more important to me

India is open to sneer, but China and Russia would make for an interesting game, methinks that he does not have the balls to go for Russia so I am thinking either India and or Australia.

I don't see a problem with Russia - You should see Raver that I have no fear to go trough rivers.
It would be refreshing possibility to do sth new.
later turning LCU to russia is risky but now - Raver doesn't have anything to counterattack with
+ going for possible carrier battle in February/March is not wise as we all know

It looks like that Raver is in trouble at the moment!

I would think that you can take Russia out of the game quite easily... but than what? India perhaps would be good idea!

Exactly as I like - all options are good - some are better
i can take russia out but later I'll get additional units for kwantung which make thing much easier in late 42
India is open to me but.... I doubt I can take all India with ceylon fast enough
otherwise fights will be bloody and will tie my assets
china would be nice but it is not optimum variant
North Australia - secures DEI but there is no more use of this variant
caledonia +NZ + pacific - tempting as it gives opportunity to inflict really heavy losses or provoke carrier battle early - this is fight allies can't loose
I have 3-4 turns to make up my mind

I know I'm not talkitive about my strategy but Raver has access to this thread and some things need to be hidden from him. i hope after 2 wave of offensive will be going on , there will be possibility to carry out slightly more open information policy.
All I can say is that I run 2 serious operations now. their result - unless they will not fail as last one- shoud be reported soon.
Major movement as expected within a week time but this will take at least 3-4 weeks of time no matter what target will be chosen- Pacific is big.
