For those of you who would like the down-‘n-dirty, here it is: Harpoon Advanced Naval Warfare v.3.8 is the most flexible, accurate modern naval simulation available to the commercial market.

Overall, I found Larry Bond's Harpoon 3 to be a very engrossing tactical romp.

If you want flashy graphics, go play some mindless console game. If you want tactical depth and a range of scenarios, play Harpoon 3 Advanced Naval Warfare.
