After months of hard battles, the Operation Torch Tournament has ended and it’s time to reward the brave commanders who fought it to the end!

The time to prove your skills on the battlefield has finally come!
We are setting up a great Gary Grigsby’s Operation Torch Tournament and we are inviting you all to take part in this event! Please note that the base game Gary Grigsby’s War in the West and the Operation Torch expansion are required for participation, as this tournament uses a scenario from Operation Torch.
The first round will start on December 14, 2015 so sign up and start practicing!
It would not be right to have a tournament without prizes, so of course you will not only be fighting for glory and bragging rights! To make things more appetizing, some nice prizes are also up for grabs!

Almost one year ago, Gary Grigsby’s War in the West amazed fans of detailed wargames and critics alike. But even though the scope of the original game was impressive, developer 2by3 Games wanted to cover this part of the war more extensively.
Today they are back with the release of a new expansion called Operation Torch. This introduces a set of new scenarios covering the African and Western European operations between late 1942 and 1945.

It’s high time to give some extra details of the new features introduced in Operation Torch. Along with the multiple new single player scenarios, we’ve worked hard to enhance the multiplayer system. The result is that Operation Torch owners will now have access to a full messaging system, will have the chance to join bigger games including 3 or 4 players and also play as co-operative air and ground commanders with another human player against the AI!

One of the most important features implemented in Gary Grigsby’s War in the West was the renovated management of the Aerial Warfare.
Their decisive superiority in the air war granted the Allies the capacities to reduce the German operational advantages given by their armoured formations, and in the long run it deprived them of their mobility.
Operation Torch– the upcoming Gary Grigsby’s War in the West’s expansion – brings the air war to a higher level, allowing you not only to play with a deeper Air/Land integration, and to play multi-player games where the air and ground command is split between two players, but also for the first time to run two air campaign scenarios focusing on the control of air groups!

The war is at its turning point. After the defeat at the second battle of El–Alamein, the Afrika Korps is retreating and Rommel is forced to use all of his military genius to preserve the majority of fighting units at his disposal.
The second front in Europe is coming. But what we know so far?
Operation Torch is an expansion of the acclaimed wargame, Gary Grigsby’s War in the West, and it is focused mostly on the Allied efforts to stretch the Axis forces at their weakest points in the Mediterranean.
It will feature some of the newest enhancements of the War in the West base game, such as the possibility to attach construction units to cities/airfields and an increased ability to attach support units to smaller combat units, as well as plenty of new scenarios!

The definitive wargame of the Western Front is updated to version 1.00.21! New contents and features are now fully integrated to give the game a more detailed perspective. For instance Italian reinforcements are now allowed prior to July 43 (in the past they were not allowed until after Italy had surrendered) and with this version it’s more difficult to reach very high interdiction values.

But this time the good news is not finished, because alongside the update we are very happy to announce that an expansion of the base game focused on the attempts of the Allies to open a second front in Europe prior to Overlord is now ready to enter the beta phase!
