I've been tracking the Carrier HMS Victorious. It's trying to run away from Karachi.
For 4 days I've had a fully stocked carrier task group within strike range but no attack has been launched. I can understand the weather accounting for 1 day, maybe 2 but 4 days? What worries me is that it seems that the carrier is by itself.
If carrier groups are reluctant to attack single ship TFs (if I recall the manual correctly) does this apply even if the single ship is a carrier? Could this be a new tactic, carriers with no support ships?

after we can say that I have lost this game with the end of 1942 ( more than 4:1 ) we agreed to continue....and the game has become some kind of testbed for suicide Allied tactics ( it is now somewhere around 6:1 ).

At the moment I try to get my ships out of India...( only 2 bases in the north and one in the south left....)
so I created many single ship TFs, but not always they are what they seem... like a single Air Cobat TF with a CLAA or a DD....

Check to make sure the air groups don't have a hex targeted. Of course that would only apply if it's not set for naval attack.

Swift, is that a Borg smiley?

It's definitely the Victorious as I get the 'reacting to enemy CV' message. Now stop running away and stand and fight before I run out of fuel!

quote Monty Python:

Brave Sir Robin ran away.
Bravely ran away, away!
When danger reared its ugly head,
He bravely turned his tail and fled.
Yes, brave Sir Robin turned about
And gallantly he chickened out.
Bravely taking to his feet
He beat a very brave retreat,
Bravest of the brave, Sir Robin!
