8 months for 100 =800
lost 570
230 remains :-)
don't know if 144 reinforcements goes from pool but probably yes
so if there are 5 groups they are below nominal strenght

P-38s are not the backbone of my fighter strength.  And as we have seen there are not the Jap killers that they once were in UV.  Much better things are in the works.

yes i saw p-47 today
and i think I don't want to see it numbers over my airfields

P-38 are not killers but until p-51 which comes late there is nothing you can send for escort duties
i don't remember p-47 range but i think they can be used too

Anyway, still 3 months from J model...

yup - quite a lot of turns today
06/07/43
i think 2-3 turns will be made today and short break till monday - i need to go to my parents and i'm offline there

lots of small convoy moving toward north OZ
light forces are in numbers
i think Raverdave will try to contest my weakest bases within next 6 months
it will be puerly land/air campaign
this area is too small to operate bigger vessels

Salomons will be bypassed - at least good chance as Raver is late on schedule here- but to this Raver must go for western PNG in strenght and try to retake PM
Wake/marcus is still an option for Raverdave
autumn 43 is historical date for gilberts
i don't expect him to go for Timor within next 3-4 months and certainly no further north - i will get quite a lot of reinforcements there + already garrisoned troops
as direct assault on Marshalls would be interesting massacre and aleutians are too limited and well defended game is more and more clear
I think as soon as hellcats will be available in numbers 8-9/43 i will see his invasion fleet till that moment probability is minimal

Kill Allied aircraft on the ground whenever possible. It doesn't kill their pilots but it does screw up their morale. If you do it often enough, it'll put a crimp in their number of missions flown. If you can cause a shortage of planes in their pool, you'll force them to use obsolete models or attack with smaller numbers of aircraft. With poor morale, they'll run away more frequently and take higher losses.

I have no idea what allied aircraft replacements look like, but that's what I'm attempting. I suspect it's a losing battle in the long run.

wrong direction IMO
i can delay his air offensive but against spitfires Vb , p47 and corsairs on cap i have no chance especially range prevents jacks from participating
Raverdave have hundreds of them so not even slightest chance to empty allied pools in mid 43
i could try it with 55-60 exp new pilot but not with these green 20-30
i don't have really heavy bomber
i don't have good escort fighter
a6m3a is not a match to defenders
i fear all i can do is to make this knife blunt as long as i can - sorry but not in this war
in 3 months his p-38 reinforcements will double (J version) and it will be beginning of end - i have no chance to kill200+ p38 per month especially their bases are well befended by short legged ones

2 or 3 times when my escorting zeros met corsairs losses were 10:1 on allied favour

I see the Allied player gets 225 P-38s a month.  That's a lot to kill.  I try to sneak a bombardment TF in to coastal bases occasionally.

To be honest, the best success I've had was to mass high experience fighters at bases my opponent wants to bomb and hope for the best.  I've had great success at Rabaul but my luck ran out at Rangoon when I had 4 complete sentai on 90% CAP and none flew during one raid.  I lost 160 Oscars on the ground.   I still haven't recovered from that a month later.

biggest 4e bombers can't be dealt with navy - Nortern OZ is to well mutually supporting with islands north of darwin developed into airbases and DD/PT patrols in the harbour

India - main forces are at lucknow - too far inland

no chance - only slow dying and screwing up industry eben more

I think we're talking about many of the same problems the Japanese did during the latter half of the war.

No other choice ,this year and next ones are for Raverdave
and I will be on the receiving end
at this moment i'm mostly worried about uber-cap issue.
second worry is i have many designs of planes but only few are really worth building - and no good army fighter till half 44
it doesn't mean that if i notice his mistake i will not kill his toys

Yeah, I agree. Do what you can to force him to make mistakes. Conserve your strength until then.

I guess you can learn a lot from PZBs AAR... You need to finish of Chungking though to strengthen India and Malaya, Java and Sumatra against any seaborne invasion...

In my AAR I think I've shown that Allied planes appearing in reinforcement squadrons do NOT get drawn from the replacement pool. They are in addition to the replacement pool. The reason I am sure of this is that in several Allied plane categories I have destroyed more planes than the Allies get as of December 7th + replacements.
