I urge you to pay attention to the air to air results. Bill and I are noticing appreciably less bloody results even with the early war high pilot experience levels and Zero Bonus. The battles have not been "massive" by any standard but a lessening of the carnage is apparent.

Can you keep Darwin supplied with all those heavies flying from its airbase?

On a related note, did you notice any overland movement of supplies/fuel to northern Oz?

I have to supply all the northern ports by ship...the overland supply is barely enough to maintain the LCUs. I'm happy with this arrangement as this was the case IRL. I've had to curtail missions often due to lack off supplies in Darwin so far. Not going to get any better once Bill takes Timor.

There has been some major A2A combat over Java the past few turns.  I am working on pilot expereince lists to post to compair with ones posted earlier.  Dutch air units have been all but desimated as well as allied air units operating out of the Clark and Manila.

I am waiting on the reports from Ron as to his reaction to the engagements.

I'm about 2 weeks behind in this AAR and might remain so as I don't want to give Bill San any fresh intell. But yeah, the air battles were fairly intense. I see some impact of the reduction in weapon accuracy/volume of fire but the stupid launch checks for morale/fatigue again screwed me. I had excess AV points and 1-1 VF to VB ratio so escort was more than ample but guess what? Again, over half the bombers at Soerabaja, including 3 entire squadrons, did not sortie against KB 2 hexes away. Frustrating that this design is so porked when it comes to this.

Thanks Bill. I was actually commenting on my complete lack of skills with MSPaint. When are you going to post picks of the renovations you did to Imperial Headquarters? I'd like to see how the galley reno went.

Thanks Bill. I was actually commenting on my complete lack of skills with MSPaint. When are you going to post picks of the renovations you did to Imperial Headquarters? I'd like to see how the galley reno went.

I will post some tonight between kicking butt and getting my butt kicked.

Poor 1LT Ching B.! He will probably slip while climbing into his cockpit, and break his neck.

Yep...he died during training. I actually received the worst pilot yet. Not realising that the Chinese pilot pool was empty I hit get pilot for a SB-2 squadron and the pilot I received was experience 2!

Well I have to pick on someone since Pedro is not able to play at the moment. So I am taking it out on you for the moment.

What would be the Intel you will leak if you update the AAR? My plans on taking over the Pacific will not change.

I hope he took out a life policy before joining the CAF... Keep us updated on him!

But my counters to those plans may be alot different from our other game. The strategy I used in our other game was very successful but I'm not sure they will work against you a second time as they are no longer unexpected and you have learned a thing or two about playing Japan grasshopper.

If anyone doubted that it is too easy to train pilots or that experience gain is too easily achieved and needs to be toned down just needs to look at this. 24 hours and one milk run later Pocheng gained 12 experience levels...he jumped from 2 to 14 in a single mission.

So? At 2 he knew how to climb into the aircraft. At 14 he sorta knows what all the dials do.

I have no problem with this as long as gain decreases progressively as XP rises...which I think it does.
