Ops losses are expected with Sallys. The freaking things can't get from hanger to runway without suffering an Ops loss.

This is definitly flak. On the losses screen it showed 1 Sally being lost to flak and I didn't see any message during the combat replay that this was caused by a seach Sally getting hit.

Tom,
Has Kenny said there is no AA capable units in Chungking??
It would seem that some would re-appear eventually.

Kenny has advised me that US troops have infiltrated into Chungking as replacements. They raised the troop strength by another 6K and 200 AV. More of my commanders will be shot for failing to secure the border.

Tom,
How come I keep seeing in your combat reports ONLY your ships getting sunk, except for Allied PT boats??

NYGiants: Kenny's ships won't come out to play so I have to go looking for a fight. I keep getting my ass kicked by PT boats so I may have to rethink this strategy.

Sallys sank the SS Haddock and SS Lampon today. I guess 80+ exp squadrons can be effective against subs. Good thing since nothing else is working and they are sinkink a ship a day recently.

yep, i've been guilty of hiding my ships . So its been some pretty boring turns. But i have my reasons. First Japan probably out numbers me in carriers. I have 6 CV, 5 CVL's, while Japan probably has about 7-8 CV's, 5-6 CVL's. Second i'm still flying Wildcats from my carriers, while japan is probably flying advanced zeros by now. So in a heads up carrier battle i would probably lose unless i'm under the cover of LBA (which explains my slow advance). Of course i could always risk a carrier battle and hope for a draw, but if i lose, then i can forget about an assault against the Mariana's in the near future, and will have to go the McArthur route from New Guinea towards the Phillipinnes under the cover of LBA, which will be even more boring.

But dont' worry once i get a few Hellcat squadrons on my carriers, i'll be looking for a fight

At this point I will take a stalemate. I can't make any major advances and neither can Kenny. This gives me time to did in.

The US troops that arrived at Chungking must have brought supplies with them. The rate of starvation has fallen off dramatically and the AV is increasing.

One bold CVL (Cowpens) and a surface fleet pulled off a raid at Paramushiro Jima. They managed to finish off a heavily damaged DD that was repairing there but lost a bunch of AC in the process.

Kenny is on the advance again and took Green Island. Once again 300+ Bettys refuse to fly against the landing because 2-3 CVs are providing CAP.

i'm sure Tom is up to something. Me on the other hand.....I don't even look at Chungking anymore. Tom does a good job of keeping track of my AV and troops strength for me

I have more devious plans to attend to, like figure out where to unleash the US 6th Army.......India perhaps??

Chungking is a mystery to me. I have had it under seige for over a year with little noticable effect on the AV. There seems to be a corelation between receiving reinforcements and a sudden rise in troops and AV that is totally out of proportion to the AV of the arriving units. I think they bring tons of extra supplies with them that keeps the units from starving.

I will attack by the end of the year. I am waiting to see if I can hold a 3:1 ratio without making the attack. I estimate that Kenny should crack the 3:1 ratio by October 1 at the current rate (November if I count the points for Karachi that I gave back and subtract the points for the accidental sinking of a Brit CV).

Bring 'em on!

5,000 AV worth of SAA troops await their arrival. They are getting tired of building stuff and would like someone to shoot at.

Could be. I saw a message during the replay of "TF such and such reacting to TF near Truk" I have never seen it happen before.

When one of you has the time, could you post a map of some sort? I think I've been mostly following the recent allied advances, but I also think I've lost track a bit.

I'll add, since you're my teammate now, Go Kenny Go!

Not shown is the secret location of the US 6th Army, which has yet to be commited to the current offensive
