Sad thing is that this was a small raid. These planes were just the ones he could spare to deal with a rear area target.

I am not looking forward to the 1,000+ raids that will be coming to the Home Island soon.

...that amount of 4E bombers is much more than just rear guard force. Unless ofcourse you guys are playing with PDU on.

Final shock attack finally took Chungking. The plan had been to do this 2 months ago and get to a 3:1 margin and declare victory. Now all that I did was set the victory ratio back a month. After the 400K men surrendered 270K magically appeared and repeled an attack on day 2. They are not spotted on the map so this might be a bug.

Congratulations!

I am an Allied fan boy, but I was rooting for this to happen, after such a long struggle. It is good news in your continueing battle.
You both have a good game going.

The Allies now have a level 9 AF from which all of the HI is in B-29 range. Things are going to get bad for me real fast.

I have pulled AA units back to the HI and have roving packs of fighters flying LR CAP missions to hide which cities are covered and which are not. Hopefully this shell game will prove costly for the Allies

Looks like Taichu is the next target

Thanks to Kenny for sending me these. This is what Chungking looked like the turn before if fell.

High levels of disruption and fatigue must have been what dropped the AV from 6K to 1200. Lack of supply should have been offset by the urban bonus.

Attack at Paramushiro was repelled by the cut off defenders. Medals for everyone!

No landings by the Allied invasion TFs. They were last spotted off of Guam but their destination is still unknown. Just waiting for the shoe to drop.

Now that i'm in the "Matrix Legion of Honor" catagory w/ my 1000th post, I thought i'd tell the faithful readers of this AAR about myself. I figure since this is the 1000th time you've seen my post, you might as well know more about me, besides my last name, my love of sharks, and that fact i'm a cruiser fanboy from NJ.....so here we go...

My name is Kenny Donovan, i'm 25 years old, and i'm from Toms River, NJ (a New Jersey Shore Town). If you are unfamilar w/ Toms River, we are known for 2 things in the United States....1) our Little League Team won the World Championships...2) and theres radioactive waste in our water. So of course this means two things.... i love Baseball (was a pitcher in High School), and i have bionic powers (ran a 4 minute, 30 second mile) from drinking the water. I also love to surf, even though the waves here in NJ suck.........this is a good wave day.....

Eventually, i went to college at Trenton State and got a degree in Biology, i then attended Podiatry School for 4 years to get my docterate in Podiatric Medicine. I'm now about to start a 3 year surgical residency in North Jersey. Somewhere along i managed to survive Philly, get married, adopt a cat, and bought WITP.

Here's a picture of my little family.....

Here's a picture of our small little Apartment in Philadelphia, where i went to Podiatry School....

The high point of living in Philly was when the floor flooded due to a burst pipe......

Now back to WITP....I remember when i was engaged, about 2 1/2 years ago i said to myself..."I better buy one last video game, before my future wife has a say in everything i buy".....Somehow i stumbled upon the War in the Pacific advertisement, and was intrigued. I've always been a huge History buff, especially WWII, and especially the Pacific Thearte. At that time i was more into Real Time games like C&C Generals and Battlefield 1942...but there was a time way back when i enjoyed Turn-based games, the first being P.T.O by Koei (on Sega Genesis console) followed by Panzer General. So i figured, what the hell...it will be the last 80 dollars as a free man.....and ever since i've been hooked.

Unfortunately, this looks like to be my last PBEM for awhile, so whenever this game runs its course, i'll probably call it quits from PBEM for now and just settle playing the AI for a couple years as i get my life together. I'll still be on the forums from time to time, as i've learned more history about WWII here than anywhere else. Of course, thats still a ways off as it looks like this game will run another 9 months at least....so game on!!

Lastly before i wrap this up, just for completeness, here are some of my fav's...(for WWII buffs)

Photos have been sent to the intel guys for analysis. There has to be something that can be of use in figuring out the Allies' next move. Not that I can do anything about it. At least when I get my head handed to me I can say I was beaten by a Doctor. Can anyone else claim this?

Since Kenny has shown himself, I will do likewise. This is me with the family on the USS Constituion last year:

And lastly, last year at the pumpkin patch:

Not as lean and mean as I was at Kenny's age but still able to put up a good fight.

Age and trechary will always beat youth and strength.

Back to the game:

A wayward Allied convoy was attcked by Kamikazies with pitiful results and I lost yet another sub without firing a shot.

nice pictures...nice to have a face to go with the name, considering we've been sending turns daily for over a year now....

btw..how many mines did you lay at Takao ....its been a week of minesweeping with 12 MSW's and i still can't clear them all. By the time my Level 9 port is open, the war will be over.

PS - turn sent back...
