The funny thing is , the French could take those same ingredients , give them a pleasant sounding name and make them take good enough so that everybody shells out big bucks for it. We Americans give it an acronym sounding name , but it in a can and sell it cheap? What are we doing wrong?



I got a huge shock that way at an Argentinian steak place. Ordered the sampler plate.....apparently it was some sort of entrails sampler.

I don't speak French ..she does. Besides I actually like gekkos, I've lived in a bunch of places where they were as common as houseflies and likeable as squirrels. Anything that eats buggs is a friend of mine.

Only when I make creme brulee. I get impatient with those silly assed little toy torches....I got me a home depot supersized plumbers torch with map gas! I can do a whole tray of desserts or cook a side of moose in one pass!
