Mike, my wife and I have worked out a mutually satisfactory 'arrangement' re: cleaning cat boxes. The Pavlovian details won't be discussed here, but suffice to say it works well to keep the peace (and the catboxes relatively clean).

Whoever it starts to bother the most first does it?

This is true.

I was also wondering where RUPD got to.

Sorry for the misspelling, Grollub. Thanks for keeping me on the straight and narrow.

I thought someone was going to call me on the absence of the indefinite article in that exclamation. It is my understanding that K'Plah needed to be followed with 'ho' (sic) or another indefinite article. When included the linguistic usage is as a Klingon 'greeting', but strictly translated meant "What do you want?"

Now that's keeping with the underlying tone in language.

Youre just making that up.

I was way way off on the word itself, but here's a handy guide (with audio pronunciation functionality) for your viewing pleasure:

http://www.kli.org/tlh/phrases.html

The word in question (Hello / what do you want?) is: nuqneH.

Well, I just received the 'official" phone call. I will be in Omaha Nebraska on 1 May , 2010.

Well, Steve, i feel sorry for you . ; keep the faith, old boy.

If you feel that bad, then why don't you and your spouse come out and visit us?

Steve, if you were a European sophisticate. And once in a blue moon you decided to travel. Would you go to Nebraska?

Wonderful company notwithstanding, of course.

Doesn't that only work if she's interested in taking driving lessons? Is there disincentive to her just taking the keys and going sans lessons?

Side question: what is typical driving age for our lime-enhanced bretheren?

Simon, I laughed when I read your post there. Sadly, I believe your sarcasm was completely lost on the original poster.

You IT guys are brutal....have some sympathy.......if we were all as smart as you in this stuff, we wouldn't need you. And you'd be out of work.

I know where they get it from. I've seen some VERY sarcastic messages on some compilers. Then again, those compilers were written by other sarcastic computer nerds. Its a loop.

I want to see this thread. Come round to my house and type in the address for me Simon.

There had better be several bottles of something very expensive involved in this transaction.

I've had the pleasure of meeting some girls from there. Luckily, the above is a strictly geographical reference.

Regular pastime for the the married part of the human female population. The unmarried part spends their time complaining about how the good ones are all taken. N'est pas?

Is it common for a family in the UK to have more than one car?

I learned when i was 16 though it remains a hard task, especially with having to avoid hitting all the stupid pedetrians walking on the back up roads that bracket most of our major roadways in urban and suburban areas.
