That'll probably be Championship Manager. There's another one called Football Manager - no idea which one is best

I think Football Manager is the one he has.. he's playing it all the time.... When I was a kid no-one played soccer here.... Now they all do.. for kids sports its as big as if not bigger than Baseball/Basketball/Hockey/Football...

Actually I have just recently started playing Uncommon Valor, and it reminds me of an old game from Koei called PTO. I dont know if a world wide version of WitP would work,....but I know it would be the ultimate war game ever if it would

Love it, an own goal there

You didn't have the Americans to back you up against the Germans, that is why you lost. The Germans outplayed you my tea drinking friend.

I am afraid we were outplayed in almost all 4 games....... poor team poor tactics....

But that disallowed goal though really grates. I agree that it wouldn't have made any difference to the result but in today's day and age to allow that to happen is criminal..... A team could win the world cup having had an obvious goal for their opponents disallowed. The technology is there TIME TO USE IT....

I agree with the Reaper.
Why on earth they don't use "modern" technology, like slow motion, to make the call in situations like that 2-2 goal is beyond me.

Good game, though.
Germany looks solid.
Should go far as usual, but this team is much more enjoyable to watch than previous years'.

As a scotsman...

I agree...the "ball over the line" incident could've changed the whole attitude. However, thinking about it...going into the break 2-1 down SHOULD have spurred the troops on HARDER than being 2-2 at the break.

That said, England have been pretty dire the whole tournament, only showing a flash of performance against Slovenia.Garmans again showed class.

Why was the only goal for England scored by a defender???? Speaks volumes really. I feel sorry for you lot....so much hope and promise and so little performance. Now you know how Scotland feels every 4 years!! (and I'm talking to the specific instigators of the "WHERE ARE SCOTLAND" chants I've been subjected to as a Scotsman in England at work and locally )

The world I guess, outside of the U.S has never heard of instant replay. Watch Football, and I'm talking about the real kind of football not the other kind that puts you in a state of comatose for much of the game. While yes, I said to myself how could they missed that call, England was never in this game from the get go. On paper (like the French army circa 1940) the English team looked good, but this is why you play the game. When England had trouble with a very average American team, I told myself that at some point they will get spanked hard.

Totally arrogant players being paid more money per week than most of us earn in a year. They are asked to perform at their best in a tournament which comes around once every 4 years. People who support them pay a lot of their hard earned money to be let down by Englands dire performance today. Germany were nothing less than superb today, and deserve their victory. Some of the England players clearly could not be bothered to motivate themselves especially Wayne Rooney. He goes back to Manchester United, and his £90,000 a week.

I'm not anit-british, I just don't care for most british people, they come off as very arrogant poeple to me( and I don't know why, for heavens sake you eat fish for breakfast). Once a world power, I have enjoyed your decline in that status greatly. It's kinda funny, Germany fought two world wars in the hopes to become the leading economic power in Europe, only to lose those wars and then become the leading economic power in Eroupe, granted mind you with the help of America. British-American aye?

Warspite1

The "I don't care for most British people, they come across as very arrogant" shall be ignored for the fatuous remark it was.

The irony of the quote above however, is I guess, completely lost on you

You enjoyed our decline as a great power greatly - priceless. You probably don't realise that what comes around goes around and what happened to (amongst others) the Romans, the Spanish, the British - is now happening to the USA. Just like us, you ceased making anything, your manufacturing got exported overseas, you are spending more than you earn in a vain attempt to keep hold of past glory, whilst your national debt is in the hands of the Chinese and others.....

And no, unlike you I take no pleasure in making that statement. For all their faults - and lets face it the British and Americans while in the role of World superpower - past and present - made mistakes. But they were/are preferable to a Nazi Germany, Napoleonic France, Communist Russia superpower etc.
