Are you trying to upset Woden..... he is still under sedation after the England game and comments like that aren't going to help. As far as I know he is disabled and retired so he may have time to play a game or two and post on the forum...

Major,

Well my gaming rig is at the missus house...we can't live together anymore so I've been staying at my Mother and Father in laws until my new flat is ready....hopefully move in by August so I will be able to game more...

It's very rare there are any games I want...it's just a very good time at the moment for my tastes...also these will be bought over at least two years...

Don't be silly.  Of course it's not going to be $150.  It's only $149.99 at the most.

Starcraft 2
Victoria 2 (really excited about that one)
Call of Duty Black Ops
Last Stand at Arnhem
The Old Republic (an MMO that I can finally get behind)
Gran Turismo 5
Sword of the Stars 2

I am semi looking forward to the new Medal of Honor but I am also wary of it after how bad Battlefield 2 was. I can't think of a more wooden stale shooter than BF2. The single player was terrible and multiplayer while better sitll had poor mechanics. Not a fan at all in an age where shooters have advanced so far.

Elemental War of Magic
War in the East
Victoria 2 (maybe)
World in Flames (always wanted to play the board game was put off by the size. Computer game size would be easier to handle )

not really sure..nothing has me really tempted

I guess CC: Arnhem, just cause I like Op.Market-Garden and since I can't get into the modern RPGs and FPS as they are too young for me...hate to admit that at just almost 30.

This is the problem with the gaming generation... reach 30 and you have probably seen it done it most of the time (in gaming terms) I am significantly older but need something to be different to get me excited about a game.... this gets harder and harder as games just become repeats of older titles.....

Very true and just wait till you get 50+ as then everything is crap and repeats of everything you've already played 100 times.

My main problem is that there isn't enough of the same. I'm talking about games like Fallout, Wasteland, X-com, Close Combat, etc.
They don't get enough spiritual successors that would be better than them.

I have a curiosity in WitE. I've heard good and bad things about it. Only thing i know for sure is that WiR is very very old now (and i need a Win98 box to run it)

I do spend a lot of time now playing older dos games myself. Getting back into Renegade Legion Interceptor and 1830 Railroads & Robber Barons. Master of Magic and Civilization II also. I'm not really looking forward to yet another remake of Civilization either and would much rather see an upgrade to Sid Meier's Alpha Centauri and Sid Meier's Civil War series.
