Your comment reminded me too. Our "trash" service was also eliminated partially....(from nightly to once a week) and then when nature took it's course and people's cubicle trash cans started to smell....we were "educated" that we should all really take our organic wastes and deposit them in the central kitchen trash.

Maybe we should just all bring a Glad bag in and take out our own trash each evening by putting them in our trunks and driving them to the local collection site....given the company is in such financial straits!

Endless meeting from h**l finally finished tithe ...

... ah, at least the guy calling the meeting remembered to give us a whole 5 minute break in the middle of a four hour block ...

morning.......

well a potentially disasterous weekend ended up salvaged.

Main computer suffered a brain seizure on Sunday and locked up completely. Couldn't even get past the P.O.S.T. After numerous curse words on how expensive the board would be to replace and thinking evil thoughts on how i'd have to take it apart to try to isolate the cause, i was able to finally reset the CMOS which un-seized the machine but then corrupted my Windows loader forcing me to set up a repair which took all morning. Oh well....at least this computer didn't catch fire like the last one did.

And the Nik-mobile......(2nd cousin to the famous 60's Batmobile) is back in action after suffering a failed starter motor. Thank goodness GF has a dad with a full garage in the back complete with lift. Ordered the part for $135.00 and we installed it together. Car back to life.....with 182,000+ miles and counting defeating the dire threats of several car dealers who warned me that the end was nigh and that i should buy a new vehicle now!

Here's a thought I had today, which should underscore just how tired and sick I am.

The letter "H" is normally used to represent a "ha" or "he" or "hu" sound in Englis, yet none of those sounds are present in the pronunciation of the letter itself.

I had this marvellous epiphany yesterday whilst watching a Mitchell and Webb sketch about a company director who shoots and kills any employee who mispronounces a word or doesn't use it in correct context. I felt a marvellous kinship with that character.

That's a very small minority you are talking about. Especially when you consider the numbers of the same ethnic group ,currently residing in the UK or France. While I have heard people talk of "Londonistan", I've never hear anything similar said about NYC,LA,Chicago or even DC.
