Pretty much the same number as everyone else who posts on this THREAD, with of course the exception of T. It's going to be a pretty lonely place for T , after he's shot us all.

Don't think I can afford all the ammunition.

Well, send us some cheap booze then so we can drink ourselves to death ...

Edited: Spelling ... (oops) ...

BANG!

Regarding the discussion on if we should shoot those who spell wrong;

Morning dudes.

Comrade red mouse:  I had a Blockbuster gift card from two years ago that I hadn't used.  I've been following the company's downward financial spiral somewhat as an impartial observer.  They will probably be 'reorganizing' again before too long.

Anyways, I wanted to make sure I used my gift card before it became worthless, so I went in and scoured their "DVDs for sale" bin.  Some decent titles at 4 for $20, so I got 4xDVDs.  One of them was "Eastern Promises"-came out two years ago.  Got good reviews, IIRC.  Did you see this movie?  Thoughts on authenticity / plausibility?

Yes I saw it and yes it is pretty authentic. I didn't love the movie personally, but all the "criminal element" and tattoo stuff is mostly accurate.

Oddly enough I dont even remember that. It must have been one of those wild party nights. She's not even my type.

Hmm, I only see your head. Do I dare ask where the rest of you is in that picture ?

Well, sir, like most cartoon characters I am able to easily defy the laws of physics and elements which limit non-cartoon individuals. One of the many things I'm able to do is turn my head 180 degrees while tilting it up simultaneously.

As for a direct answer to your question, I'm not sure it would be appropriate on a family friendly forum.

I watched "Eastern Promises" - it was quite good movie!

As for authenticity / plausibility I would say also quite good (from what we know here about that kind of Mafia)...

BTW, we saw "The King's Speech" the other night - we liked it very much - I think that it will get many Oscars (Colin Firth is sure winner) - wholeheartedly recommended!

Other movies that I got from that deal:

Better off Dead: An anthemic 80s movie about teen love angst. Some great one-liners: "Man, it be a shame when people be throwing away a perfectly good white boy."
The Two Jakes: J. Nicholson's reprisal of Chinatown
Watchmen: Dark superheroes movie from a year and a half ago. Surprised to see this in the 'bargain bin'.

That's an eclectic bunch of movies.

Eastern Promises was interesting, I too wondered how close to the mark it was.

Yes, and British immigration is off the charts! There's the real threat! We are going to be Limeyized! A chippie on every street corner! Starbucks will serve only tea!

It's looking up for you chaps then

Personally, I'd love to be able to tell my boss "sod off, its tea time".

Wouldn't you use 'wanker' or 'prat' in that sentence too?

If at all possible....

I love Better Off Dead! Haven't watched it in years. I am a big fan of John Cusack. "I want my two dollars!"

Back in my Navy days, every payday morning, one guy would walk into the shop and shout that.

That works. LOL I'm a firm believer that we should use much more British slang in our everyday American conversations.

morning......

some morning indeed. An entire dept here just got laid off.....and last nite my GF told me she was pulled aside yesterday by a co-worker and told that one of the managers she works closely with is "madly in love with her." Better.....it's a person she really likes and gets on well with.

What does one say to such a thing.......

She was clued in by a co-worker but having met the guy and just in listening to GFU talk about him and their interactions, I can believe it....that and she told me that when i came in to the store on the weekend to say hi to her, he was there and after i left he too took off and "avoided" GFU for the rest of the day.

Normally i'd not be concerned as it's not the first time she's had guys interested in her naturually. What kind of alarmed me though was that this is the first time it's occured with a person she really likes and has alot in common with. I shouldn't be insecure i suppose and i'm not the jelous(tm) type....but still....i'm almost wishing she hadn't told me. GFU has readily admited that had i come to her with a similar situation, she'd be "freaking out and sharpening the kitchen accessories"

It also touches a nerve in me because it presents a situation similar to what occured in my family many moons ago.

Trust isn't easy and there are no guarantees. If I were you, I'd make her a nice dinner, flowers, and have a ring show up mysteriously on her plate.
