ORIGINAL: Schanilec My first game was AH Midway way back 1971. WHOA!! Turning my head right to look at the "game shelf" in my hobby room, I just got struck with how many AH games I have. Didn't think they were so many. I have; Jutland, Battle of the Bulge, Flat top, Victory in the Pacific, Submarine, The Longest Day, Wooden Ships & Iron Men, Panzerblitz, Panzerleader, Fortress Europa, Panzergruppe Guderian, Civilization, Third Reich, Diplomacy, Up Front, Kingmaker, Kremlin, Titan, Hitlers War, History of the World, Age of Renissance, Merchant of Venus, Rail Baron, Acquire, B-17, TV- Wars, Titan:The Arena and finally 1830. Many hours have been spent playing those games ... love them ... fond memories of the youth "game holidays" & "game weekends" ETA; I don't have Midway though I've got 2/3 of them, including Midway. That one is particularly memorable , due to a minor error in the rules that allowed me to be exceedinly "gamey" against one of other other memebers (Capt. Hornblower). Combat effectiveness was based upon the number of torpedo's a plane could carry. So a PBY was twice as powerfull as a Kate! Imagine my opponents dismay when the KB was wiped out by a 32 plane PBY strike! So that's where your "Emily complex" came from. Actually , its due to two "Birdbrains" of the Thread, Chickenboy, and Chicken of the Sea, both of whom wiped me out in the Thousand mile war scenario by using Ms. Emily. It won't happen again. I won't give Emily a chance, and I won't play anyone named "Chicken anything" in that scenario!
