We have come to expect creative spelling from GreyJoy, but today he really excelled with this example:

"I remember when China fell...i felt like a Gromagnon Man in front of an I-Mac.... "

I think a Gromagnon man must have been a prehistoric grognard.

I know someone who sent three of his five his carefully hoarded US carriers into battle against the Japanese near Guadalcanal with all his escort planes set to train.

You know, the messages USS Wasp Sank USS Enterprise Sank USS Saratoga Sank should be a little more dramatic. Maybe something like USS Wasp Sank USS Enterprise Sank USS Saratoga Sank .

Ah, well, the wailing and moaning that brought his wife out of the nedroom thinking he'd had a heart attack was drmatic enough.

I've wasted more political points than Gordon Brown - half the Americal division to southwest pac - 8th Aus Div to ABDA (ABDA HQ - in July 42 - is languishing as a stock of support points in Imphal, while 8th Aus is fighting for its life on Kokoda).... Sent several overdue APs half way round the world before they finally got outta the pacific... "lost" QE in Sydney Harbour for months - i could go on...

Just returned from St. Maarten and a lovely vacation of fun, sun & rum (not nesseccarily in that order); catching up with required reading (Wall Street Journal can wait), when I bumped into this gem of a thread.
Canoerebel, you have outmastered your mastery of the forums with this one.
I am an old(er) person and as such, am averse to fits of chuckles and snickers. However, I found it very difficult to restrain the younger man's sense of silliness while reviewing the various confessions, comments and indictments.
From 'units of measurement' to 'spelling'; it was a joy of a read.
+1 for you Conoerebel, for planting this little 'tour de force' of WitP boo-boo's in a garden of oh, so serious wargaming!
More, please!

Oh, no!  My mother must have been talking to GreyJoy!  On the phone just now, she said she has a "dermacalogical" appointment next week.

Of course, my mother's antics with speach long pre-date my awareness of GreyJoy's antics.  My mother once noted that she was given a shot with a "hyponemic durdle."  On another occasion, she made a comment about singer "Ingeldink Hunkleburt."

I hope my mother and GreyJoy never get together to hold a conversation.

I remember that! The thing is it actually worked, so that has to be a mitigating factor.

The Forum Community has yet to appoint a court and prosecutor, so in the meantime we must rely on Forum members to report abuses and violations whenever and wherever encountered.  To this point, most such reports have been self-made, but the time has come to vigilantly police the sanctity of the forum.

With this in mind, I would like to report a transgression by GreyJoy, who in his AAR today posted this:  "FWIW i remain fixed on the typical beauty from the 70s...thin, blonde and naturally hairy"

I've never heard a man exlaim a preference for "naturally hairy" women, so I think GreyJoy is in breach of universally recognized taste in the fairer sex.

Could it be that he has a crush on a lady in her 70s who still has her own hair?

He means without a Brazilian wax...I presume....or perhaps he just likes Greek or Armenian women....oh wait... he did say blonde.....so I am back to the former.

"You guys play with your pants on? "

Clear Kangaroo Court violation by John Dillworth in reply to comment in another thread that "AE is the most fun you can have with your pants on."

This was brought to my attention when I noticed a referee signaling "illegal use of hands."

My father used to do that sort of thing on purpose. After he had polyps removed from his throat he would tell people he had polywogs taken out of his throat. They would just stare and you could see the gears turning "how did this guy get tadpoles in his throat???"

There was this crazy SOB that I know that really messed up a CVE TF of his. He ordered it to follow a bombardment TF into restricted waters with 0% moonlight. A well-timed enemy IJN SCTF of three measly destroyers just so happened to be in the hex when the CVE TF appeared (but after the bombardment TF had left). It cut the CVE TF to pieces, sinking or severely damaging three of them.

The escort to the Allied CVE TF was substantial, but it probably didn't help that this crazy SOB guy I know allowed a leader with an inspiration of 35 to captain the heavy cruiser in the escort. I think the captain issued orders not to be disturbed *no matter what*. His bridge crew took his orders at face value, allowing the escorted carriers to be folded, spindled and mutilated.

What a moron this guy was.

Ooooooh, this is a fresh one. I can still smell the paint drying.....

I heard of a guy (not me mostly lol ) who his first PBEM game as Japanese had trapped off 2 American Carriers but just had to hit a useless base on his way to trapping them and set the primary mission as Airfield and Port strikes.  Needless to say when the carrier battle started the 2 American Carriers sank all six main Japanese Carriers. I cried, I mean I heard he cried lol.

The good men of the Forums have characters so unimpeachable that it has been weeks - weeks, I say! - since we last had even a whiff of conduct so unseemly as to need referral to the majestic court of the kangarooos. That makes the present violations all the more egregious and nefarious, requiring vigiilant policing while at the same time casting a pall upon the good names of those who frequent these halls.

Gentlemen, I need do nothing more than refer you to GreyJoy's Avatar. His irresponsible, provocative, and outrageous conduct in this regard constitutes a Class A Felony and an appalling breech of manly (in a winsome kind of way) decorum. For this, no punishment other than outright banishment and a courtesy case of Nair can be justified.

As for John Dillworth, an Accessory After the Fact who encouraged the misguided and youthful cherub, he shall henceforth use for a tenth month period Wallpaper featuring either Phyllis Diller or an American Secretary of State au natural.

At a time convenient to the forum, I shall amend this report and the findings contained therein to make the record more complete.

Your court can condemn me. You can jail me and destroy our sacred images.
But for every one of us that you enlsave, a hundred will come out and join the fight.
You can enslave our bodies, but our shavin-free fight will never die.
And sooner or later, when this "trend" will pass by, we're gonna have our victory against the shaved world. Be it in this life or in another

John Dillworth's punishment might come under the Cruel and Unusual clause of the Constitution.

As for GreyJoy, subjecting US to cruel and unusal punishment nullifies such protections. Might I suggest replacement of his toilet paper roll with one that has been saturated with pepper spray.

I know one schmow from back in the WitP days. He was wiping his opponent from one end of the map to the other. This clown didn't think Pt. Moresby was worth taking. Rabaul was strong enough on it's own. He stationed ~500 aircraft at Rabaul and his opponent lost hundreds of 2E bombers over that rotten town, mainly from Pt. Moresby. One day my, uh I mean, his CAP didn't fly. Poof, 400 planes destroyed on the ground and the base destroyed. (It was a nice mushroom cloud, by the way.) No way to get the remnants or surviving pilots out. The only thing that saved him was AE coming out. So they started over with AE......

Advance to AE. This clown of a JFB was this close to liberating Hong Kong. The dope sent in 8 DMS to clear the mines. Receives message "APD XXX hits mine and sinks" - 8 times. Hong Kong fell the next day. Dope.

Now he gets smart and sends some half dozen APDs one hex from Bataan to wait for it to fall. They react into Bataan and get shot out of the water by CD guns.

I don't much like APDs.

To the court I offer that someone profile picture constitutes protected speech. These forums have traditionally been tolerant so long as forbidden topics are not discussed. To my knowledge the only unforgivable topics have been politics, the AA performance of the US Dual purpose 5" gun and why the F%$k Tinian is only a G%^D^%$M level 7 airfield max when everyone knows it was the biggest airfield in the world in 1945 but no...........the designers know better! Sorry you honor, I'm ranting again aren't I?

Yikes! Do I get to pick the Secretary of State? I have to research this. My first impression is Thomas Jefferson but there is always Madeleine Albright.
