Very cool song. I actually own an old vinyl LP of the recording. It's hard to believe that Russians had to endure all that, and then, immediately, have Stalin's boot thrust down, once more, on their pitiful, undeserving necks. Shame isn't it, that more of music isn't devoted to enlightening the great unwashed as to excesses of government?

Status: offline 		Oh, yeah, I'm very familiar with "The Ballad of Ira Hayes". I don't care for much country music, but for Johnny Cash I make an exception. However, he didn't write the song. It was composed by Pete La Farge.
