Sort of, but not exactly. Not actual tours around the hangar but I will have to talk to the general public on a regular basis about the aircraft. It's why you have to (a) volunteer* and (b) pass some interviews and be deemed an acceptable candidate.

I'm going to assume that any attempt to walk out with a Spitfire under my arm would be frowned on.

I remember reading about that. Fascinating work. A similar work was done of one of the Nagatos for "Tora Tora Tora".

Hadn't seen this before, Per. Thanks for posting.

I hereby promise that, were I to visit the Yamato 'stage' as the photographer did, that I'd buy every 'regular' on THE THREAD their own bottle of Yamato brand Sake. What a cool gift for a bunch of Uber-dorks like us.

That would be great fun to be involved in your training interviews. I'd wear my cutoffs, sandals and USA #1! baseball hat.

When pointing at the Hurricane (and calling it a Spitfire), I'd make sure that you remembered that if it weren't for the good 'ole US of A, you would all be speaking German right about now! Furthermore, I saw in a movie with Kate Beckinsale, that it was American pilots in Spitfires that brought the Luftwaffe to their knees. Clearly your museum needs to update their materials!

It's too bad that there's not a full-time job for me as a ****-stirrer. I'd really put myself into my work then.

Wonder if the pockets are in his little mouse jacket, or in his little mouse pants?

Life is going well thanks Andre...

As I've just had my last operation, which has ironed-out the infection problem, I was having with the tenckhoff system.

The latest tests also show that my tumor is still dormant, and the long-term prognosis is good.

While it is not a retirement that I planned on, it is a lot better than being dead.

Cheers Des.

Warspite1

Hello Grollub. The Australian Beauties Competition is just a bit of harmless nonsense..er I mean an incredibly important poll... to find officially the most beautiful woman in the world. Its in the General Discussion forum. A few of the Threadsters have been taking part so I just post here as and when a new round of voting starts. Please feel free to make a vote of your choice (for Jenna Louise)
