Greece is the word, its got groove its got meaning!!

And after match 1 its the Ormster in the lead!!

Correct result / wrong score = 1 point
Everyone else wrong result = null points

Listen Orm - no one likes a smart arse!!

To late to change point system now. Two points for correct result.

Warspite1

It was 1-1 - you said 0-0

Therefore correct result = 1 point (and you would have got 2 it you had said 1-1).

Ok.

I am with you now. I misunderstod before and thought it was 2 points for result and 3 for score. One point for result and 2 for score works for me.

So how many points do you have?

Edit: I am pretty sure that I will be beaten by Warspite in this contest so I better taunt now because soon it will be to late.

So just so we are crystal on this - its 2 maximum i.e. if you get result and score correct. NOT 3.

Listen - I can take a bit of taunting no problem - I support Spurs so I'm used to it

I am only concerned with ONE thing. One of our two American participants DON'T win - oh the shame if that happened!!

Pav wasn't given enough of a chance really at Spurs. He had talent just never given a period of time to settle in and hit his stride.

Right redcoat I've no idea how you did that so I have a mission for you.

Your job is to reproduce these as and when they pop up during matches and if the subject is deserving of further attention. Who knows - we could have a European Championships Beauties thread

That was a nice win for the Russians. Holland v Denmark should be interesting. Not sure which the games is on the radio but I shall be tuned in.

Yes, they looked really good - and if it hadn't been for their wasteful finishing, it could have been a whole lot worse for the Czechs.

I think both games are on TV over here so I have a tough day ahead - a mix of footie, more footie and F1 qualifying

I don't have the tech savvy to make such gifs myself, but I'll do my best to post any other Championship beauties that I see. I'm hoping that Orm will post some Swedish beauties too.

Okay, as we look forward to the two matches later this afternoon/evening, how are the contestants shaping up?

Netherlands vs Denmark

All seven are going for a Dutch victory except the Ormster who reckons on a draw.

Germany vs Portugal

A similar situation here to, whereby all but one (Dixie this time reckoning on a draw) are backing the Germans.

I can easily see the Danes taking a beating in all of their games, they've probably got the hardest group out of all the teams at the tournament.

As for Germany v Portugal, I know it's a controversial call but I can see the Portuguese upping their game for this one. Of course, this will actually mean the Germans will roll them over but if I'm right I'll look like some sort of genius

Argh!

That's what I get when I am to cowardly. I had Denmark as winners first. But when I realized that I had Denmark forward from that group I changed some of the results.

Congratulations Denmark.

A well deserved win. Although I do not think the Dutch agree with me.

I do not actually.

If you bribed the referee Netherlands would have won with 3-1.
