I'm pretty sure, from memory, that SS and Wehrmacht officers never directly commanded units belonging to the other group, sort of. IIRC it *did* happen, especially but not only late in the war, that SS units might be attached to Wehrmacht formations and vice versa - at mid to high level, mostly. So, for example, you might have a Panzer Corps of mainly Wehrmacht units with a single SS Division attached. But having a Wehrmacht general command an SS Division? Or SS officer command a Wehrmacht Regiment? Nope. As for the Luftwaffe ... most of the Luftwaffe ground commanders were so pathetic (bad training/lack of training) that even letting them command Luftwaffe Ground Divisions was a bad idea ... commanding anyone else's divisions? *Really* bad idea. So, at Divisional level or below, no. At Corps or Higher level, depends, sometimes. Phil
