One of the newest releases of Torn Flesh Records:

Sons Of Kings - Emersion
http://archive.org/details/TFR561-SonsOfKings-Emersion
"Meditative psychedelia and spacey soundscapes are both present on this new album which continues the journey of Sons of Kings. The ambitious plan behind Emersion is to connect the dots between soundtrack-like atmospheres, non-typical progressions, kraut-continuity, stoner-fuzz, and post rock mentality. The creation is served in two parts, and with even more low frequencies with additional bass player, which renders the original trio into a quartet."

While we are on a James Bond theme (See Australian Beauties thread) I thought I would dust off the old 007 music compilation. There are a number of decent tracks but I bought it essentially for two songs:

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fN1WBgS9u_E&feature=related

For Your Eyes Only - Sheena Easton

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-ohT1LfhC7M

All Time High - Rita Coolidge

A few of the old Bond themes bring back memories for me. I think my favourite is probably 'You Only Live Twice.'

Yes I do Empire old chap, the man at the market that sold it to me assured me it is the latest in personal audio systems and that it is completely portable too. He was right! Only downside was that I was not allowed to take it on the train so I had to wheel it to work - as you can see it was quite hard going and I needed a bit of a breather now an again. Even so, it was well worth the money though - only £2,500. Just got to find a few more 78's to play on it....

I see from the picture Warspite that you are dressed in your usual sartorial elegance....I especially liked the hat....I take it you purchased it from Lock & Co.....or was it Fagins Hat & Pipe Emporium?

That IPOD definitely looks complicated, although a snip at £2,500!!

Fiendishly cunning these Chinese you know!

I do think though that my old Walkman is becoming a little heavy for me now.

I am surprised you felt the need to ask dear boy. I only use Fagin's like any self-respecting member of the land-owning elite.

Yes the IPOD is a little complicated - and awkward to use if I'm honest: a) I just cannot get the ear piece to fit into my ear, and b) There's only one of them anyway

I like your Walkman, that's the 1982 "smack it with a monkey wrench and she'll fire up a treat" version if I'm not mistaken.

Yes, yes you are right!! The 1982 Walkman was a vintage model!

A jolly inventor friend has recommended these delightful and unobtrusive ear pieces for your IPod.
He assured me they are the absolutely latest design from Ipad or Apple, or somebody anyway....

Empire, that is not a state of the art music device your jolly inventor friend is recommending.... That, if I am not mistaken, is a picture of an alien being. Those are the unmistakeable facial features of a Nimblypimbly from Splaticurn V.

Schoolboy error there Empire

Three absolute classics there Mr.W.

I have it on good authority that this is a bona fida picture of parusski shopping in Tesco, as per your first song.
