Don't they use replicas?

They had a few replicas, but most were the real deal.

Saw a couple at an exhibition in Memphis many years ago. Very cool!

Had a great time at my half marathon yesterday. My goal time was 2:15, with a stretch goal of 2:11. My buddy pushed me for the entire race and I finished in 2:05:45.

Tired legs today!

Hi all,

BTW, what is with our banned brothers?

I, sadly, predicted that Kristian would not come buck but I didn't see John as well...

Leo "Apollo11"

I dont know John that well, but from what I have seen, I think he will be back eventually. I would guess that he's just taking some time to detach and decompress. Hope so, anyway. He's very much fun to have around without even mentioning his deep knowledge of both the game and history in general.

I think we need "Terminus come home" and "JWE come home" threads. Everyone sign on. Probably meaninless if they truly don't want to come back, but it's always nice to see people doing things together".

+1 I would like to see them come back.

Good Morning Bros

I don't think that's the case. The officers were taller, better built and intentionally modelled to appear 'wiser' than the leg infantry riff raff, but I don't think they were modelled on a particular individual.

You know, guys, it's about time to refocus on the really important things after Sandy's wrath. Sure, some people lost their family, homes, livelihood, pets and property. That's too bad, really. What's really important though is what's going on with this Jersey Shore resident:

Very interesting. But the faces are individual, right? I mean, the figures were made individually, not molded.

Yes. The figures were made individually, but I don't believe that the sculptors had a particular visage in mind for the facial features.

Still, takes some skill and imagination to create thousands of unique figures.

You betcha.

I wonder if they knew ahead of time that the best artisans working on this project would be entombed alive in the project when it was completed? May make me want to be the second best artisan in my field.

OK Threadsters, you asked for it and I've found it. Not only am I a TV sensation back here in the UK I am also (briefly) on the interwebs!

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-20050585

Check it out, as part of my status as Interwebs Sensation I have expanded my repertoire. I now open Children's Hospitals, Animal Sanctuaries, Supermarkets, Playboy Mansions, Airports, Jars and Bridges. I can also do after dinner speaking. Quote discount code 00000000000000000001 and you can get 1% of my fee.

P.S. That TV news bloke had better not have touched my Spitfire when I wasn't there.

So, you think that opening up a cowling gives you straightaway license to opening up schools and jars? Please keep us informed when you open up the next Playboy Mansion, wouldja? I'd like to be there for that party.

I didn't swear at all. Well hardly any. OK, a little bit. Actually I deliberately swore so they couldn't use that bit

I only took the bit off because I felt like a right tit just leaning over the engine and not doing anything.
