By the way, can I get one of these for Christmas next year, Santa? Admittedly, ammunition would be a ***** to get for it at Cabella's.

Hello you lot. Hope your Christmases were enjoyable. We're back from 9 days in the hill country of Texas, just north of San Antonio. Nice country. Lovely weather, good food, family and no work. Lovely.

In Fredricksburg, TX is the "War in the Pacific Museum". I kid you not. I was incredulous at first, but spent some time there on Saturday. I'll post some pictures. An excellent museum, just outstanding. Probably the best 'treatment' of the PTO as an organic whole I've seen anywhere. For anyone that fancies themselves a WWII PTO grog, this is simply a 'must see'.

Did you check out the midget sub?...in the Texas hill country of all places?...lol

You guys realize that the reason the museum is in Fredericksburg, Texas is that town was Chester Nimitz' hometown?

BTW: Happy New Year, everybody!

The museum is at his homestead...

If they were playing in Seattle I'd agree with you, but playing in DC. I'm gonna take the Skins and keep my fingers crossed.

G'mornin' you lot. Morning tithe...

Working on your turn today, Des. It's a beast, so I don't know if I'll get it done today. I'm still gunning for this weekend though.

A very good friend and colleague of my sister was in a terrible accident this week. Please pray for them and their family. They have four wonderful children, but only get to celebrate the new year with three of them.

Very hard to understand why bad things happen to good people.

Morning tithe... It is going to hot one today methinks, it was still 21C at sunup.

No hurry with the turn there Andre, as I know how much work a good Japanese first campaign turn takes. Also I realize the special care you have to take over this turn, because of the fact you are playing someone of my awesome ability.

Real Sorry to hear about your Sister's friend.

I've given up trying to work-out why life can hand-out some really bad things to some people, and I just savor every sunrise now.

I don't dwell on it too much, but it isn't fun when bad things happen to good people.

How are you feeling now a days? Watching LOTRs again with my wife, and I thought of you. What lovely country you have there.

Thanks Des. Being as I haven't put together a good Japanese first campaign turn, can you let me know how long it will take?

Yes. Amidst the trembling of my limbs, dry mouth and cold sweats, it's taking its toll on me.

Anyone knows exactly when the landing bonus ends? Is it 5 months giving Apr. 7 or is it something like 150 days giving something else?
