Seems legit.

Here I hear radio jingle ads for "National American University". Ummm...yeah.

Who do they think theyre kidding, I wonder.

Ah Andre? American Military university is where I'm doing work on my masters. If it's a con , it's a big one. A VERY large number of military and government folks go thru them. They were created as "distance learning for the military".

Yeah but as a pop-up ad?

I'll admit that's new, but things ARE tough in academia I hear tell.......

I've done some skiing and have occasionally seen vistas like that in special places. That is a beautiful photo.

JWE

if you don't mind, I would like to use it for a desktop background. It is beautiful.

No problem at all John!

BTW, I can post bigger resolution picture tomorrow (the above one was reduced size 1024x768)...

Beautiful, Leo! I miss snow, but we get some occasionally in North Carolina.

Don't want to make anyone jelous (tm), but the last 3 days have been around 75F here.

We officially broke the 100+ year old record... we got 70 cm (that is 28 inches and above 2 feet) of snow in past 24 hours... it is very very very big amount for highly urban area (and they say that snow will continue to fall whole week)...

Going to the casino with $300 bucks and leaving with $740 is cool with me. Fun weekend at our board retreat. Went paintballing for the first time (played around with them all of the time, I just haven't "paintballed" in a match) and that was a blast!

Sprior and Dixie-

For shame....

Just needs a few more million sales and then 50 shades of Grey will be the UK's best selling book of all time!

http://www.guardian.co.uk/news/datablog/2012/aug/09/best-selling-books-all-time-fifty-shades-grey-compare#list

Better than Most of the Harry Potter novels? Really? Tsk tsk...

Don't blame me. I own a mere handful of those books. 25, 26, 35 and 70 in fact. Strangely most of my library of history, sci-fi and Terry Pratchett (I'm actually surprised by that) aren't on the list.

Yes, with prose like this (kudos to Despair.com for the quote), how can you miss?:

"Anticipation hangs heavy over my head like a dark, tropical storm cloud. Butterflies flood my belly-as well as a darker, carnal, captivating ache as I try to imagine what he will do to me."

Ugh. Reminiscent of 'It was a dark and stormy night...', but worse. Posits Despair.com, "Oh, if only he'd spanked her with The Elements of Style..."

Apparently not enough spankings in 'em.

Not heavy enough. Maybe the whole Encyclopedia Britannica would be about right.

Afternoon tithe... having a strange day I am; came into my surgery for some maintenance and was only meant to be here for an hour. That was 6 hours ago and I'm still here, as they need another part for my catheter. It is being couriered from the provincial Hospital which is on the other side of the Island, and should be here within the hour. So I'm laying here in the examination room with a pair of forceps holding me together, isn't life fun.

Thanks Andre, I'm well... very well, it was just one of my bionic parts needed replacing. They then sent the wrong part first-up, I then had to wait like a car in the Auto-shop for the correct one.

Now, did they, perchance, tighten up all those loose screws and change the oil?

Yes, I was wondering the same thing. Still, with so much work being done to him, it's best to be sympathetic and empathetic to his plight. That's why I gave him an additional 12 hours to get the next turn done before I consider it an Allied default and game loss.

'Cuz that's the sort of guy I am-an empathetic giver.

I've uncovered the *real* reason Des is out for the time being. All this 'health-related' nonsense is just a red herring. Good luck in the matches, mate!
