I take my boy on a major hunting or fishing trip every year he makes honor roll. Been going for 6 years straight.

Dang, put a pic in there but it was HUGE :(

My Son has to make As and Bs to go to Origins every year. Pretty good incentive for him. For my daughter, we are sending her to France for 10 days.

There are very few swearwords adequate for that whole series. Of course, they're making a fourth.

The first one was OK. The second one had a very presentable Megan Fox (rawr...). This one is...feh.

They're making a fourth? Ugh.

I lost interest after the first one really. Mrs Dixie dragged me to the cinema to watch the second. I had a headache anyway, but I had issues with the 'plot' making no sense. It made no more sense when I saw it on TV either.

It's not hard to follow, really. "Big CGI robots bang each other about. Hokey interstellar 'good vs. evil' character play loosely followed."

It's probably my fault for being a weirdo who likes films to have a plot that makes sense. Robots, more robots, borderline racist stereotype robots, Diego Garcia, talking, different robots, big dam, robots from earlier, robots, pyramids, wtf?

Megan Fox makes Paris Hilton look skillful and clever, and all three Transformers films are awful.

Right. What's so hard to follow there?

Megan Fox has a certain rugged Tennessee college girl gone bad slutishness that Paris Hilton could never match, IMO. It's worth sitting through a portion of a bad movie to see her bending over a steaming engine block.

The first movie wasn't awful, IMO. You've an argument for the second and third being pretty dreadful rubbish though. Except for Megan Fox in the second one...

She still can't act though.

Well, duh... There's more to motion pictures than good acting, mate.

The only good Transformers film is the first one. The actual first one with Orson Welles providing the voice of Unicron. I went to see that in the local Cinema with my school, way back when Lincoln had one Cinema with one screen. There was a Mickey Mouse cartoon before the film (he went on a fishing trip) instead of adverts and there was an intermission where a lady came round to sell ice creams.

Won't argue. The second was watchable, but not good. Some parts were much more watchable than others.

Speaking of which, have the other THREADsters voted in the semi-finals on the "Australian Beauties" thread on GD? Some nice contestants (Upton) that need your votes (Upton). If you're upton...erm...up to it, go over there for a lark.

Good idea Michelle er I mean CB - although its not the semi-final, its the round of the last 16. So there are 8 votes need casting. You may want to linger over the options a while, so make yourself a nice cup of Rosie Jones er I mean Rosie Lee, sit back and Jenna up.. er I mean Gen up on the ladies in question. Mary - sorry I mean May the best woman win.

Just got back from seeing the new Star Trek film. In the words of a certain English type I know, I'd say that it was a "Stonking good film."

The Penguin has been amazingly unlucky with his PH strikes. After two whole days, he's accounted for 2 DD's, whilst losing dozens of aircraft.
