It takes a week to go from the Twin Cities to Chicago by train? That seems excessive...

Early morning tithe...off on the train to Chicago today. Haven't taken passenger rail in this country in 30 years. Bringing the kids too.

See you lot in a week or so.

NoDak-try to keep Nashvillen's INP tyranny to a minimum, will ya?

What? My turn to hold the leash?

Yes, it is. It's spectacular. I have some 35mm photos of my particular place in paradise. View of the yard and a close up. The neighbors are grazing cows, goats, sheep, and llamas, 'cause nobody's there, don't ya know (as if I would ever ask them to stop). Also have some pictures of me and some of the other coaches at the Sailing Center doing goofy faces. Don't know how they will turnout when scanned, but I'll try my best.

Germans came to the region at the end of the 19th century. Mostly from Bavaria. Rural, pastoral, righteous, folk. They had an identity with their principality and kept to its traditions. After the revolution of '48, the immigrant flow became a flood. Took a while to get round the Horn and into Chile, but only the best made it, and it showed.

They really are more gentle than you and me. You just can't imagine unless you spend some time on someone's stoep. Nazis, or anything approaching that excresence, will just not play.

Ciao. John

I never realized how expensive the county fair was until you have to go with your oldest on every ride because of height restrictions...good lord they must make a killing.

Ok, got one to work. Here's paradise. Hard to get pictures without having goats in them. There's our little helicopter; a cute little French thing, Alliouette IIRC. Nice bird. And my wall tent in the middle of the goat and cow poop.

And then the Sailing Center whackos; Laurenz, Tad, me and Denise. Under that is another shot of paradise. More goats. Sailing Center guest house is the building on the right. Back end is right nice dormitory. Still has a whiff of goat poop about it, though

Yeah, yeah, we were supposed to land on the concrete, but the pilot let this idiot passenger give it a shot. Lucky we didn't end up in Argentina.

Hi all,

Kristian, wife and I are watching re-run of Season 1 for Forbrydelsen (The Killing) that goes Mon-Fri... we missed it the first time around...

Well, the last flicker of hope to get the purchase of our new house to work went out yesterday morning.

The good news is that we looked at another house with a pool yesterday evening and are going back to really look at everything in detail after work. We may make an offer on it before tonight is over.

Thanks, Leo! I guess the difficulties we are having with buying a new house are to even things out for selling our old house so easily and quickly.

Good luck Mike. Backup plan; I have a motor home you could use. A 1976 Oldsmobile Cortez.

Good luck! Start looking for something temporary or you will sell yours out from underneath yourself! I am pretty sure you are aware of this, you are a smart guy.

Our current house we built and it was delayed and we had to live in a townhouse for two months out of boxes.

Check with your Realtor to find any month to month leases that might work.
