Fix mistakes in databases before adding new platforms.
It hurts when knt.p.h is mixed with m.p.h.
A Sea Venom at 590knt
A Vautour II at 650knt.You missed the rocket packs in the Bomb bay with 232 68mm SNEB on the Vautour IIN
And many more the list is very long

I'll repeat the suggestions I made in the other thread:

- Soviet R-7 ICBM family (SS-6 Sapwood)
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R-7_(missile)

- Italian cruiser Giuseppe Garibaldi (both as CL and as a converted CLG)

thankyou for the comments as ever errors can creep into a database base with over 10000 platforms, as well as doing a full time job over the past 10 years, the database was built from scratch but thanks for the kind comments anyway

Many minesweepers doesn't have "MCM Equip" button available. Is it WAD?

Ready for the NeXT
Sea Vixen both marks is missing retractable rocket packs : 2 Microcell unguided packs with 14 2in rockets
This instalation is a substitute for internal guns and like the packs on the Vautour IIN is Air to Air

I've copied this minor issue over to this thread too since it's a Cold War Database issue (although maybe a DB3000 as well)

quote:

Database: CWDB (version unknown, but from Operation Trident, 1971)
Entry: #523 A 60 Dharini Class -- India (Navy)

Last entry on database shows Fuel Quantity as 24 tons, should be 1,000 tons
(reference Jane's Fighting Ships 1985-86, page 240)

I have an issue, but I don't know if it's a database issue or the way the game plays.

I am attacking a DDE with four S.4 Wyverns (I love those planes). The loadout is rockets and 1000lb bombs. I used the mission editor to create a mission for the Wyverns to attack the DDE. They do so, except they stay at an altitude of about 4400 meters. That seems very high.

So I changed the loadout to just 1000lbs. This time they attack from about 9000m. Again, way too high.

Is this the way it's supposed to be for the AI? When the side is controlled by the AI I mean?

P-47D aircraft with default loadout of 12.7mm MG will not fight in AAW, do not even show having an Air Weapon range, just Surface Weapon range. Just to make sure, I tried P-51D, they show Air Weapon and Surface Weapon circles, even when aimed with just default 12.7mm guns.

UPDATE: To be precise, the P-47D will attempt to dogfight, in other words they do try to chase the enemy aircraft. They just can't shoot them because they don't have a viable air to air weapon.

Corrected first entry to reflect that the P-47D does have the 12.7mm guns, not the 20mm cannon.

And this is probably why, the weapon doesn't show aircraft as a viable target.

I fixed my original post with the info that the problem lies with the P-47D's weapon, its valid targets do not include aircraft.

Canberra B(I)Mk6 and B(I)Mk8 and their export Mks were the the only Cannon armed Canberras.
A ventral pack contaning 4 20mm guns was mounted in the rear bomb bay. When this pack was installed
only 3 1000lbs bombs were housed in the front bay.The wings were fitted with pylons for 2 1000 lbs bombs or
2 Microcell pods with 37 2in.rockets. No 3in rockets. Max loadout with guns 5 1000lb bombs - without guns 8.
No BMK8 was build; with 8 bombs it still was a B(I)Mk8
Max Speed 504kts

Hunter F1 and F2 United Kingdom RAF
None of these carried External fuel this was first done on the F4 (2 100Imp gal drop tanks)
Max speed Mk1 - 693 mph at sea level (603 Kts) and 617 mph at 36000 ft (537 Kts) Avon engines
Max Speed Mk2 - 698 mph at sea level (607 Kts) and 620 mph at 36000 ft (539 kts ) Sapphire engines
With a fuel tank of only 334 Imp gal compared to 414 Imp gal in the F4 range was a principal shortcoming.
Yours guess is as good as mine - just around 400 miles
No external stores clean aircraft
Barny
Ref: W Green The World's Fighting Planes
FGA Mk 9 Range on internal fulel is 489miles with same fuel as F6 392 Imp gal
