HMmmm, got any more escorts? Even for a daylight duel those BB's wont be adequately screened.

By the way, I would set as a surface task force ,7 to 8 hexes away, set to retirement allowed and full speed.

That is a good point. It the WJD's surface force sticks around there won't be an opportunity for bombardment anyway. There is also a chance the retreating TF at Koumac will get shot up first because they will be slower than the incoming Jap TF. Can Nevada cover 1 hex before the WJD TF covers two? You would think so based on the ratio. Maybe we should set the Nevada force to "light speed" as well.

Maybe the best choice is to lay off for a day and send in the bombers?

No don't lay off for a day. All of us want to see how it works.

That actually is pretty damn funny....but surely, the "Stay Away From the Bismark Sea in January 1942 Rule" is enough learning for a while.

Stalker Girl took a cooking class from a woman from the Lesser Sundas (seriously). She made this dericious yerrow curry thing from scratch. It was so dericious I made an extra big helping for breakfast too. Then...about 2 PM I began to percieve a certain gastroeintestinal surfeit..if you catch my drift. So here is what I have to say to those who wish to see the possible detruction of two USN BB's just to learn about game mechanics............

You know when you get a message like "Pago Pago has no fuel for TF 212"

Here is what is actually happening.

You could have spared us the image of a Doctor suffering Yarrow Fever by just using the standard dismissal:

Pretty exciting turn. The Allies try a Taffy-3 style attack...but we are the aggressors.

I watched the replay. Disappointing number of white splashes near the CV's. Zuikaku is burning.

Neither RN CA sunk yet and it seems PoW made good progress to the West to escape. Every ship in the IJN cruiser force is burning badly.

8 bomb hits on the Mutsu is not too bad and nice to see it on fire. What sank the AP Montevideo Maru? A PT torpedo?
