July 26-27, 1945 Allied strikes hit tankers at Manila, which I'd been hoping for, but they're well escorted and not all of my CAP was yet in place. Damn. Missed opportunity. I know I'll lose them, but the endgame for Japan is about "what can I get back for the VPs that will inevitably be lost?" I didn't play this well, and the Allies avoided big losses. Aparri falls as expected to troops that were at least partially prepped, and Luzon is Japanese for only a while longer. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- AFTER ACTION REPORTS FOR July 26, 1945 -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Naval Gun Fire at Singapore - Coastal Guns Fire Back! 11 Coastal gun shots fired in defense.
