China looking incredibly strong right now. I know it is early, and really will be in danger all thru 1942.

Ichang falls, Hong Kong falls on a rare 2nd day attack that is better than the first day thanks to heavy bombing.

IJAAF bombing picking up steam across China.

Sian has 750 AV with another 400+ around Tienshui.

The critical theater looks bleak for Japan...this is a shame, to be honest. Japan will now most likely have to spend all the way thru April taking Singers and Palembang. If I continue they might not be able to take Palembang. I will probably drop some hints in my other AAR versus Lok about the critical aspect of this theater.

Should have 350+AV at Palembang in days. Two large PT Boat TFs, destroyers, light cruisers, cd guns, mines, and Singers still has 60+ fighters.

Plentiful supply now, with more troops arriving.

Each day that goes by the Hqs better prep and since there is an Command HQ present the multiplier can become downright ugly.

50 PP to swap out the 11th Indian Divisions Commander. Points well spent.

Probably pull the Aussies out of Mersing soon and let them rest in Singers.

Gotta land a base force at Miri, even just a Company will do. That and just a Chutai of Oscars or Zeros puts a stop to that Oil bombing. It doesn't take much at this stage, but you have to think ahead.....

Even Nates work on those old B-10s that the Dutch have. That and an AAA for night bombers.

I have not played this set. Do Refineries make supply?

350 av with the rest and intangibles like the HQ is downright nasty. As it stands I'd reckon best case is several months delay getting Palembang, Several months too long as all of us who play Japan know. Two day turns already hurt Japan and eat away at the amphib bonus. As far as I am concerned two days turns, which I like a lot, use up about a month of amphib bonus and for every month Japan is bogged down in Palembang and/or Java, I think three months can be removed from the day the war ends, counting from 9/45. All things being equal of course. I am anxiously awaiting how this all plays out. Thank you for a most interesting strategic plan.

The Burma Road from Paoshan is a secondary gravel road which will not allow supply to flow very well. Could you fly to Tsuyung where the paved road starts?

I think the 22" Mk 13 torp is the US aerial one. The S-boats have 21" Mk-10s.

I just use my Tina's to 'ferry' over some AS, at the same time Oscars stage in, problem solved.

Just learned that stockpiling say aviation support in China will stockpile them across all nations. It is consistent for all the national pool devices.

Well, it was a Dutch Sub that did the Kanko Maru in after being torpedoed by a Cat the turn before...the Sboat missed. 4 Submarine attacks here this last turn.

ubmarine attack near Polillo at 81,78

Japanese Ships
xAK Kanko Maru, heavy damage

Allied Ships
SS KIX

xAK Kanko Maru is sighted by SS KIX
SS KIX launches 2 torpedoes

Everything is set to stockpile, so the bases are only forwarding supply to units in the field. Not much in the field around here right now.

Once Paoshan reaches its supply base limit, I will start flying in supply to Tsuyung.

The DC2 are finally bought out, into the 225th RAF which will be the HQa for Ledo, and sent to Ledo. This turn they are flying in some Indian Jungle Gun Artillery to Tsuyung.

I believe they will fly out the first Chinese Division from Paoshan after that.

Jungle Guns are set to stockpile as we make only 6 a month.

A slight problem with moving the Chinese Division to India, is that I am stockpiling Chinese Squads. No point in having them really until my field positions bulk up on support squads.

So bombers, especially Blenheims will be flying in supply to China, while the early transports will be moving troops.

I believe those 75mm artillery pieces are air mobile.

Yes, this is stock updated by AndyMac, so supply generated by refining.

I am not sure if it is a most interesting strategic plan, plan has already changed drastically in the first two weeks of the war. Opportunistic maybe.

Yes.

You cannot limit the stockpiling of devices to only some and not other, nationalities. All nationalities which use a specific device are treated the same.

Yep.

Those 6 oil hits knocked out 18 oil. Japan hasn't started repairing the fields yet, well they got 1 point repaired and then stopped, so supply at Miri is around 9K.

New Zealand

I was thinking of making Auckland a real hub, but now think the hub will be further north.

I have 8 howitzers in pools, make 1 a day...I would like them to go to the Lost Battalion but that might mean a minute or two of clicking.

Supply is on the way from both Oz and the West Coast

This is the 2nd Dutch AA unit, which are quite nice and probably wasted in Java, to be honest. So they are going to protect Oz, a nice touch of ABDA cooperation.

They will go to Kalgoorlie, which is assembling into quite the supply and unit depot. I will have to think about where to ultimately send them. This is the 2nd dedicated AA unit in Oz.

P40's arrived in the east coast of Oz, woeful pilots that got canned and replaced with skill 50 mediocre pilots.

Lots more being shipped across the Pacific for Oz. I have left industry on and hope to supply it with everything to keep it on.

Last date I saw was Dec. 21st, so I-boats could be all around Oz, no? Maybe best not to count your AA guns until they make it to shore!

Heck, they have an escort! A ton of my shipping doesn't. It is tough for the IJN to get a lot of subs down here this early without having Palembang. And even then the subs are drawn in two directions Singers and India and here.

Singers area is rife with enemy subs. Lots of unescorted ships there too.

Almost all bombers are training, so there is pitiful few planes doing naval search and none doing ASW, mostly patrols on navS.

As IJ, I get subs to Perth ASAP because it's a natural route for all kinds of traffic. But even so, it takes a couple weeks to get down there, and the best subs for the job are all off around Hawaii at-start.....

I had originally planned on going much further to the south, from Capetown, but I suspect Albany will probably do. I think if you are will to trade a few days, then the cargo ships can chose really safe routes. The trick is to establish a steady stream of them 2 days apart and of course no escorts.

I usually expand Port Augusta and dump supply there because some of it finds its way up the middle of Oz and trickles to Darwin.

So, for the 21st and 22nd, I was hard pressed to come up with an offensive action and had to settle for night bombing Miri. The bombers didn't move, so they might get two days of strikes in, but it is iffy on the first day of switching over. 5K altitude since there seemed to be no flak higher up...what do you want to bet I run into 20mm AA? Without radar or searchlights it shouldn't matter.

Gull Battalion on approach to Oosthaven, should start unloading this turn.
