US Army since 1985, though mostly in the Reserves and the National Guard. 11B to start with, then 35A, and finally 55A.

Hi, I went to Survey school at Fort Sill. Two Marines and 84 Army persons in the class.
MOS for Army was 82C

Status: offline 		Cheers to all branches on Memorial Day weekend! With a special toast to the Marine 1/2 of a Corps. My father was a Navy Corpsman with the 1st Marines in Korea. Well, we all make mistakes!

Status: offline 		Josephus Daniels, SecNavy, 1912-1920, made the Navy dry. When the USN BB Squadron with the Grand Fleet wanted to celebrate Armistice Day, they had to take boats over the the Brits' BBs.

Enlisted DEP 28 Nov 75, RA 1 Dec 75, BCT at Knox, BABN at Benning and 43E (Rigger) at Lee. Svc Co, 7th SFGA at Bragg, Jun 76-Aug 78, Green to Gold at ODU, 80, Germany, 13 S&S Bn, 80-83, 82d Abn (1-17 Cav), 83-84, Army Reserve 11th SFGA, 84-88, Army Reserve AGR, 364th CSG, 205th IB (Sep) (Lt), 377th TAACOM/TSC, ARSTAFF (OCAR) and USARC, 9 months to retire and start a new life.

Status: offline 		Ah yes, Ft Lee. Virginia Beach, long necked Buds and oysters! I use to run the Crater every afternoon before supper! I was in 11 SFG in Louisville, then it was disbanded. The Cold War was over, and so was our mission.

Status: offline 		Actually the 11th, like all the rest of the Army Reserve combat units (except for 100-442 (Inouye's Guard) and 2 AH Bns) were taken down as part of the OFF Site Agreement between Director, NGB and Chief, Army Reserve, in 1994, in which the Army Reserve would concentrate on EAD/EAC CS/CSS support of the Regular Army and the ARNG would provide integrated combat/CS and CSS forces at divisional level. The ARNG never really honored this agreement, though the Army Reserve did (I put the 205th down in six months in 1994).

WTG Subchasser, it is a very small planet nowdays, it is interesting to see all the various backgrounds on people, it is prety darn cool if you think about people from all around the world with common interests contrubiting to a thing like this, that we will all enjoy for a long time to come.

I went through Survey School at Fort Sill twice, once in the basic course in the fall of 1962 then the advanced course in the summer of 1964. For some reason this conversation seems familiar like we had it once before a couple of years ago in the WIR or PacWar forum.
