WitP looks like it does because Gary Grigsby bowed to the DOOM cliche. WitP should be text based only.......you enter your text based orders and the game will say. "What?" In the Canadian version it will say; "Eh?"

The text will use crystal fonts ... giving a 3D style ... but you will need 512 Meg dual SLI graphics cards to run it on and even then it will run at barely 5 frames a second on an AMD FX60 ... following current software trends.
