Unlikely to find one for XP, but there's always DOSBox...

scott64 -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:01:10 AM)

Ever been to the Spam Museum in Austin Minn?

well, it IS a bit crunchy (if you have it on CD, especially...)

Mynok -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:01:16 AM)

If you like ancients, www.dbaol.com. I play that alot. DBA rules, quick games and the regulars are great guys. It costs money, but I have just about as much fun there as I do kicking Allied arse in WiTP.

Also, undertakers have noticed that the Dead don't go bad so quickly... (true facts!)[:D]

I thought that was the Botox

scott64 -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:02:27 AM)

I thought MOO II was better than I, I still have MOO II and play it once in a while. [:'(][:)][8D]

Mynok -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:02:28 AM)

What was the name of the spy race in Moo...I always played them. Dern it.....the Darfels ....started with a D.

Terminus -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:02:52 AM)

Darloks...

Mynok -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:03:43 AM)

THAT'S IT!

Oh brother Terminus, you have saved me a night of sleepless frustration.......[&o]

Terminus -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:04:49 AM)

Happy to help...

niceguy2005 -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:05:04 AM)

I'm blocking MOO II. I know I played it a lot for a while, but for the life of me I can't remember it. As I recal though it had less randomness to the game. What makes a game extra exciting is one that is completely different everytime you play. Alas, I fear that will be the down fall of WiTP for me. It will become to predictable.

Yeah, after you finish the campaign a dozen or so times.

scott64 -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:07:02 AM)

the one with the antarian. [:'(][:D]

Mynok -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:07:29 AM)

ROFL! I'll never finish more than three at my rate......I can't do more than one at a time.....

Darloks...

Darloks are evil. I always played either the humans or the Psilons. I loved having mega photon torpedoes (or whatever they were called) while my opponents we still using lasers. [sm=sterb003.gif]

scott64 -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:08:14 AM)

Chris how about that turn so I can wipe out Rabaul. [:'(][:D][sm=00000028.gif][sm=Crazy-1271.gif]

niceguy2005 -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:09:47 AM)

Im not sure I will ever make it out of 1942. In fact, I am wondering what is the point. My opponents will have spent all their resources by the end of 42 anyway and from there on it will be a mop up operation.

Speedysteve -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:09:51 AM)

What's this MOO game you mention Brothers?

Mynok -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:10:33 AM)

My son, it far predates your birth. It is knowledge of the ancients.

Terminus -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:10:46 AM)

Master of Orion. I and II were the best Space Strategy Games of their time.

Master of Orion. Fun Sci-Fi game.

niceguy2005 -> RE: Test Thread (1/27/2006 12:11:25 AM)

As far as know, the only space strategy games of their time......maybe Galactic Civilizations was out by the time Moo II arrived.

Any recommendations on a GOOD space strategy game now? I made the mistake of buying MOO III recently. What a waste. I wouldn't even use it as a paper weight...the box is even ugly! [sm=00000459.gif]
