Sorry I asked Niceguy. [X(] [:(]

Yeah, apparently if you put "football fan" into google and go to the image search he's the first thing you get for European football. [X(]

OR....

go to http://www.google.co.uk/ and put football fan into the search, then see what comes up as the first image [image]http://www.e-goat.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/airforce/PDT_Xtremez_17.gif[/image]

It does, but what you lot do is armoured egg-chasing, not football...[:'(]

I was JUST getting ready to post, in reply to T, that you're lucky I didn't post the picture of the English Football fan I found on Google.  One more American Football isn't Football comment and I just might have to. [;)]

Minnesota Vikings?

PS:  That isn't football.  Regardless of how much you say it is.  If you silly colonials will insist on calling your American Football by the name Football we English will invient new games and call them baseball and basketball before insisting that the whole world calls our sports by these names and calls your versions nuggets (baseball) and sussudio (basketball)... VSWG -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/3/2008 8:46:41 PM)

Tomorrow I'll travel to London for a couple of days, visiting my sister. I'm still undecided which museum I'm going to visit on the first day. There are 3 museums near my sister's workplace, where I will meet up with her tomorrow evening:

a) Natural Museum of History
b) Victoria & Albert Museum
c) Science Museum

Which one? YOU DECIDE!!! Not really, but some input would be nice...

Dixie?

TBH mate, I haven't been to London in my own time in over 10 years, I'm just a country boy deep down and the big city scares me. I went to the Science Museum about 15 years ago and enjoyed it, but I am a (not so) undercover geek so that may explain it. Last time I was there was last summer, but that was work related (Falklands 25 Parade near Buck House). So was the summer before that (RAF parade at St Clement Danes, the RAF church).

My choice would be c, b, a. in the order, although it's close for a+b. When I finally get round to actually getting to London, my choices will be Imperial War Museum and HMS Belfast. My main memory of the Natural history Museum is the film One of Our Dinosaurs is Missing....

EDIT: How long are you in teh UK for? I finish work on Monday morning if you're likely to be around early in the week....

USSAmerica -> RE: THE THREAD!!! (7/3/2008 9:00:33 PM)

Time to go drag my son out of the hockey rink.  He's been there all day, doing camp there.  [:D]

My brother is driving down to visit for the long weekend tonight, so it will be cleaning time when we get back.  (Hopefully I'll finish my turn for Mynok, too.[;)])

Do whatever you want to with basketball, it's a silly sport. Just a bunch of over grown men in non-heterosexual looking apparel [>:]'
You can have golf too. [>:][>:]

Thanks! I'm leaning towards the Science Museum msyself.

I'd also like to see the Imperial War Museum, HMS Belfast and the British Museum, but I'll probably only have time for one of them. Probably Belfast, as it has the most central location.

I'm leaving very early on Monday, no time for a meeting. [:(] It won't be my last visit to London in the near future, though - since my sister started working in London I have a cheap place to stay. [8D]

WTF we took rugby and made it a 100 times better and called it football. we took soccer had real men play it let them fight put it on ice and called it hockey. we created baseball and basketball from nothing(the greatest games in the world). and don't even get me started on cricket. the only game you euroes got right was golf and thats just because you like drinking all day as much as wee do.

I didn't mention rugby. I'm not a big fan of it. My popint is you can't make up a sport and call it a name that is already in use and then demand that everyone else bow down to your sillyness and stupid demands....

I quite like basketball, although that only applies to actually playing it. As for baseball [>:][>:][>:][>:][>:] WTF? How is that anywhere near the list of greatest sports in the world?[image]http://www.e-goat.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/thats-funny.gif[/image] Cricket is far better than baseball, especially the 20twenty games. The only game you got really right on that side of the pond is Ice Hockey, and that's Canadian... [image]http://www.e-goat.co.uk/forums/images/smilies/airforce/PDT_Xtremez_36.gif[/image]

Golf? Boring, rubbish and totally uninteresting. And inveneted in Scotland, so by definition bad.
